ccokeman Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Going to test the latest BIOS since it seems that the latest BIOS fixes something and now the clock speeds are pushing upwards.

HarryTaco Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) I really want to see what the 4930 and 4820 do! Agree, I would take a 4 core model at one third the price, if I could get 300 to 500 more MHz out of it. That just may be the case. Lets wait and see. Partially unlocked? Is that a rumor or what? l1il Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 For the 4820k, if CPU-World has correct information (take note they ARE still unofficial), being a K unit would mean that it is a multiplier-unlocked unit. That would remove straps and Base Clock fiddling. I could not say what would be a REAL advantage for gamers with even 2 cards in SLi over a 4770K processor, except having a higher cost (lol). Even there, the 4770 being Haswell, would have higherIPC compared to the 4820K who is Ivy-Bridge Maybe the overclocking limit would be higher, since you dissipate 1xx watts thru 2011 pins compared to 1150 pins, but that is just a guess.
