  1. I have just purchased a Thermaltake Case (see below) and it comes with a temp sensor linked to a readout display on the front panel. At the moment, it is just sitting in the case thereby giving me the temperature inside the case/mobo - but I would like it to give me the temperature of the CPU itself - does anyone know how to go about this or how to use the sensor correctly? I don't have to dislodge and re-seat my HS&F do I?
  2. Thanks guys - it looks like the "missing" thermal compound is the answer - to be honest I never give it a thought to check it but the place I got it from obviously didn't put any on. I have ordered some Arctic Silver and a Volcano 7+ - until then my PC is off (I am currently on my work laptop) which should come in a couple of days Thanks again for all your help Anyone for fried eggs?
  3. Thanks - I have managed to find a brand new one actually for
  4. thanks for reply - much appreciated - managed to find this on ebay: Volcano 7+ What do you think?
  5. My spec is below, but before I even started to look at overclocking my processor, I wanted to make sure my processor is sufficiently cooled and that I have enough power in my 350W PSU. My BIOS tells me my CPU temp fluctuates between 65 and 70 degrees, only this seems to hot by far to me from my limited knowledge. I only have the standard CPU fan, but presumably this would be improved by adding a Volcano 7 - what does anyone think? Is this a worthwhile purchase? Would anyone be able to shed any light on why my CPU is running at such a high temperature to begin with? Many Thanks
  6. Have overclocked my Elsa Gladiac 920 to 220 from 200, and this is fine. I was advised you should be very cautious of overclocking video cards more than 10% - this is the supposed safety limit apparently. My 3D score has increased by 900 points with the extra 10% on the clock - this was enough for me without risking
