Case cooling for Radeon 5850 in Carbide 200R

Recommended Posts

After a little looking around, it seems that this card normally runs in the low 80's.  So your's is maybe just where it's supposed to be.

Yes, I'm not worried. I was just wondering if there was anything an additional case fan could do. Still haven't tried to see if I can run the fan faster and get better temps that way. Two other things I want to try are to mount it at the bottom to perhaps feed some more cooler air and to try to organise my cables better for better air flow.

By the way, thanks a lot for the replies so far, guys, they're very educational. It's the first time I buy a brand case (though it's a cheap one) and the first time I'm trying to add a case fan, so it's good to see what people with more experience say.

(By the way I'm using cgminer and MSI Afterburner to measure the temperature.)
