As I sit here in AA with coffee in one hand and my phone in the other, it occurres to me that designing a portable, telescoping drink holder. As in something that you could pull out, stand on the ground, and have it hold a cup at some height? If that's the case, you could use something collapsible like a white cane with a tripod on one end and a platform and loop on the other. Something like this: Would need a miniature tripod, hollow tubes, small bungee cord, and something to make the platform from. Would be top heavy, but would work. If you mean something to hold a drink at a distance, I've not any ideas, including why that would be useful. Edit: Could also use something like a hurry-cane base (or whatever those are called) but I wouldn't trust such a small base that much.
