  1. yeh seems a waste but i think your right! i may need a new tv this one isnt a good one anyway so im not suprised it wont do any higher just annoying!
  2. its a Technosonic lol i bought it as a cheap monitor and to play my ps3 on off a friend for 50 quid think i will plug my pc into my old mans 42" Samsung before i go spending. im sure there is a way of sorting this i connect a 19" screen to it in work and took it home and window 7 didnt pick up on a display change and i had all the resolutions available they all worked but it was over vga so i couldnt use the nvidia tool to resize my desktop so i rebooted and lost them all when it installed the screen as a generic PNP device again i tried forcing drivers off large monitors which went on but i didnt have the resolutions. i found a program to hack the driver fill to add resolutions to the driver config i will have a play with it tonight. anyone running a 42" 1080p what sort of resolutions are you getting ???
  3. Hey guys, im using my 32" HD Ready TV as my monitor the highest res i can get is 1280x720 now my TV will do 1080 so i should be able to get 1920x1080i which i will go to but the text is all fuzzy so i have to use 1280x720 which basically looks like 640x480 on a 19". im not that fussed about my desktop res more the in game res playing crisis at this res look good but i would be better obviously on a higher res and probably run better. has anyone got the same issue? low res settings on a large TV that is being used for a monitor if you have managed to find away around it let me know! windows 7 installs my tv as a Generic PNP device.
  4. going to try the new forceware drivers on guru3d apparently the nvidia windows 7 driver disables to OC section on the control panel.
  5. Hey guys, im having issues over clocking my 250gts SLi cards in windows 7 64bit Pro via the Geforce control panel the options are there but i can move the sliders?? any one else had this issue?? i have the latest 64bit windows 7 nvidia drivers installed.
  6. i had problems with mine but its only 800mhz going to upgrade to 1200mhz chips, try keep your HT link speed under 2000 aswell you will get more clock speed. theres a good thread on here about clocking am3 chips i used that as a guide when i did my 810 theres a guide for the 3x core too
  7. whats the actual BSOD error say mate? did you try the mem test?? i would run prime95 wait for the blue screen and check the event logger to see what the crash was. if you think its memory related try removing all your ram sticks bar one and stress test your system if it dont crash stick another one on and test again and so on till you find the one thats faulty.
  8. mines at 1.392 at a nice temp considering iv got a SLi setup and its all crammed into a HTPC case i idle at 40-41C with the lid on and 36C off. have you turned the memory clock off auto???? that messed me up had loads of blue screens and non boots with it i just set my RAM clock speed to 850mhz and i can play with the bus speed as i like. 55.2dBA is it a Dyson or something lol.
  9. That is fast, whats the Db on that at full speed. try droping the voltage if its getting to hot
  10. wierd one wouldnt think it would be your ram, sleep mode doesnt dump whats in the ram to the hdd when it goes of it just saves your work and puts it on a low power mode. so prehaps bios updates may cure it
  11. Only the Black Edition AMD chips have a unlocked multiplier, all the others have a lock 13x multiplier mate. if its a black edition get the latest bios updates for your board. you should be able to get 3ghz out of your chip though.
  12. cool get the results up mate pre lapped and lapped will be interesting
  13. i think the zalman 9500 is the route to go personally ive been looking at them with lappped CPU's and they dont look like they need any work on them. Try running Prime95 on your rig see what load temps are mate
  14. ive been looking a lapping mine and getting a Zalman 9500 see if i can knock a few C off my cpu, its either that or water cool it mate Zalman 9500 looks like a good choice though or the cooler master v12 if you got a nice size case.
  15. im quite please with my motherboard, its AM2+ and AM3, Sli, will take over clocked ddr2 to 1300 and its dead easy to OC your cpu on. the board model is in my sig.
