    Crysis

I opened the diff_easy.cfg with notepad like it said to on the web.

    Crysis

It says it can't be saved to the path given (which is the exact same path it came from). I'll have to check the read only part. Thanks very much for your reply!

    Crysis

Hey guys and gals. I'm trying to load some cheats into Crysis as per instructions on the web for single player mode, but when I try to save the changes to the config file ,it won't let me. I,m using Vista 64. What am I doing wrong????? Thanks, jchurchwell
  4. This is a new rig. MSI P7N Diamond MB, 4G PC8500 1066 HyperX Ram, Core 2 Duo E8400, 1000w PS, 2x EVGA 8800GT Superclocked in SLI, Vist Home Prem 64. Nothing is OC. My monitor is a 17" SVA about 3 yrs old. When I try to play FarCry in SLI I get flashing blue horiz lines on the screen. I can still see the picture though. If I go out of SLI mode it works, but, when I get to the first sceen where you crawl trough the tunnel, it's like a bright fog and you can't really see anything. Any ideas? Thanks!!
  5. I finished my rig, got the Bios set up, got my 2 Raptors (Sata) in Raid 0, got my stand alone 320G WD recognized, and everything seemed to be going swell. When I was installing Vista 64 and it would ask me to select a drive, I'd select the Raid 0 drives (which were showing up as one drive of coarse) then it asked me to install the drivers ( which I had on CDR) so I did, and they loaded. Then I hit NEXT and got "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets it's criteria for installation". I only saw that about 30 times over 2 days!!!! I would go back and check the Bios, redo the Raid, etc. Finally I had to break down and call MS and pay $59 for help since it was an OEM. I still saved money!!! After about 1.5 Hrs on the phone we found the fix. I had to unplug my 320G HD and my Card Reader that was plugged into usb on MB. Then it loaded right in on my Raid drives. I hope this will help some poor *!#*+%, and save him or her 60 bucks!!!!
  6. I'm doing a new build with a MSI P7N Diamond MB. It has 2 USB pin connectors and I need more. My case CM Stacker 830 has 2 USB on top ( requires 1 connector) 2 USB in front (requires 1 connector) I have a Card reader that requires 1 connector, and another adapter that gos on back of case that requires 1 connector. What can I do???? Do they make "Y" adaptors? If so where do I find them. Thanks for your help!
  7. Thanks for the help! Believe me, I need all I can get!!!!
  8. Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it.
  9. I'm building a system with 2x36Gig Raptors and 1x WD 320Gig 7200. I wanted to put the raptors in Raid 0 for gaming and use the 320Gig for music, pics, etc. All drives are SATA and my MB (MSI P7N Diamond) supports 6 SATA ports and RAID. Can I do this? If so, which drive/s should I make C and D and which should I install OS (Vista Home Premium 64)????? If anyone can help me with these questions I would really appreciate it. Thanks, jchurchwell
  10. This is my first build and I have all main parts except I'm waiting on the CPU to arrive this week. CoolMaster 830 Stacker; CoolerMaster 1000w PS; MSI P7N Diamond MB; 4Gig Kingston HyperX PC8500 1066 DDR2; 2X 36Gig Rators SATA; 250Gig Seagate Barracuda 7200 SATA; Core 2 Duo E8400; 2X optical drives IDE; Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit OEM; 2X EVGA 8800GT OC; MB comes with X-Fi Extreme Audio card. Ther will be other add ons, Fan control, card reader, etc. What I'm concerned about is all the Bios setup and stuff. I've read the MB book 3 times, and I think I get more confused every time. I've never touched a BIOS or CMOS at all. For example; I want to set up the Raptors in RAID 0, but it talks about bootable RAID and nonbootable RAID ????? Thats just the tip of my stupidity iceburg. I don't know if I should install the 2 Raptors in the first 2 SATA slots and the Seagate in the third or vise versa; Do I make the Seagate the mian drive; Where do I install the OS; etc, etc, etc I'ts not that I'm to lazy to try and research everything on the internet. It's just that I work so many hours I don't have time. I'll be researching for a month before I can get started. So, if anyone has the patience to help me, or direct me to some step by step instructions, I'd be very grateful. Thanks , and please for give any misspelling.
  11. Thanks for the reply! But, if there are only 4 places on the MB to plug fans and you want to use 6, what then?
  12. Okay , I know this is probably a stupid question. I'm building my first system with a CM Stacker 830. It comes with two fans and options for many more. My motherboard only has 4 fan plugs and one for the cpu. What do I do if I want more than 4? Also wheres the cheapest place to get RED led fans + cathode. It's a black case and I think it will look better with red rather than blue. I'd be grateful for any advise. Thanks, jchurchwell
  13. Well, I've ordered a CoolerMaster Stacker 830 with 1000W PS. It"s going to take me a while to get everything. My next thoughts are; Intel E8400 Core 2 Duo, MSI P7N Diamond MB, 2 Nvidia 8800GTs. I haven't thought alot about Hard Drives and RAM yet. Any Thoughts?????
  14. First off, thanks for the foram. I'm sure I will get more than I give. I'm 52 and I like to play FP Shooters on the PC in my spare time. I mostly do email, record CDs, print a few pictures, etc., but most of my limited time is on games. I bought a Compaq X09 gaming rig (display model) from CompUSA a few years ago. Now I'm wanting to buy or build a new one, but I'm afraid I'll pick the wrong parts. I came to this site to read a review and decided to register. I figured other members might steer me in the right direction. I don't have an unlimited budget though. I will be very thankful for any help I get. I don't know if I will contribute much except for questions and probably some laughs for other members. I opened my email to all members. Thanks again!
