  1. Guys, another problem! :S I didn't want to make a new topic so I'm posting here. It's a BSOD PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. I googled it and people say that it's probably a memory problem, but I ran memtest yesterday for 4h and it showed nothing.. :S EDIT: Also, programs keep crashing continusly. I went to event manager and there are multiple errors. Here are they: Faulting application name: SearchIndexer.exe, version: 7.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bd212 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5be02b Exception code: 0xc0000374 .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (000007FEF5B1FA42) (80131506) Faulting application name: CCC.exe, version: 2.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x49ef8e09 Faulting module name: mscorwks.dll, version: 2.0.50727.4927, time stamp: 0x4a27466f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Faulting application name: svchost.exe_SysMain, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc3c1 Faulting module name: sysmain.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5be07e Exception code: 0xc0000005 Faulting application name: svchost.exe_ProfSvc, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc3c1 Faulting module name: FastProx.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdefe Exception code: 0xc0000005 Faulting application name: Dwm.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc541 Faulting module name: uDWM.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5be06f Exception code: 0xc000001d Windows cannot access the file for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. 2. Good news! The problem is SOLVED! Seems like the CMOS reset did it! Thanks for all the help!
  3. As I said.. the DVD is 100% working.. I installed Win7 on my friends PC 2 or 3 days ago with the same DVD.. :/
  4. Hey! thanks for the reply! Actually i didnt install it on my pc, i forgot to mention than xD sorry I didnt play with BIOS.. didnt oc or anything. I will try resetting cmos and see, will try to dc from the net too, but i doubt it will work because i was able to format the disk and there is no os on it. Also, I ran memtest for 4h and here are the results Memtest68+ results: walltime__cached_rsvdmem_memmap_cache_ecc_test_pass_errors_eccerrs 4:13:00___3839m___160k____e820____on___off___std___5___0___0 resetting cmos now, will post results later! ty!
  5. Hey guys! I decided today that I should reinstall my win7. It's all OK untill it starts installing. After a while the installer quits and reports an error (didnt remember it, ill go try install again and post it here) and restarts the computer. It does that at about 50-60% progress. I've had problems with installing windows 7 before, but I always managed to install it successfully afterwards. I am absolutely sure it's not the installation DVD's fault as I installed Windows from the same dvd a few days ago and it worked allright. I'm assu its either RAM, HDD or DVD-ROM that is causing the problem, but I am no expert.. Thanks guys, I hope we can solve this! Greetings from Slovenia! EDIT: I just ran memtest from widows DVD and it showed nbothing.. Downloading the memtest68+ now, but i'm gonna try the memtest from a linux cd first. hope that helps!
  6. Ye, I was shocked when I saw the prices too! So I hurried here and posted ASAP it's a new shop opening nearby and the guy running it has some truly awesome deals for first customers @Flibo; The cheapest 1GB version is actually 235€ ;D HUGE difference Could SLI 2 768MBs for the price of one 1GB @paulktreg; Well since the price difference is humongous and tbh, I dont find gaming so interesting anymore, I'm going for the 768 MB version. Even so, it should be enough since I only have an 19" widescreen monitor. Ty for replies, but still not decided ;D
  7. 1 simple question.. which one should I get? PCI-E nVidia GF 460GTX 768MB Palit 114,99€ or PCI-E nVidia GF 460GTX 768MB GigaByte 119,99€? Ty
  8. Ey guys I just wanted to ask, can I plug in my microphone in to the stereo mix plug? Just curious since its an IN port.. Cheers!
  9. I tried this bout a year ago.. but no effect at all I just had to try it
  10. Just ran memtest (From win7's install disk tho) and no problems were detected :/ Also I did some search and some say that bad drivers may be causing this.. its quite possible since I had A LOT of problems with my graphics card drivers (Im running on intergrated HD4200 :$ xD)..
  11. well, didnt decide bout' that yet.. I only saw EVGA and Gigabyte versions in the shops here in Slovenia Can't wait And yeah.. apparently size realy doesnt matter
  12. Woah, seems like ATI is in trouble! I cancelled my 5850 order a few days ago becouse of money shortage and it seems I know which card I will be buying when I get the money. It sure isn't as powerfull as the 5850 (well it is in some tests ) but you sure get A LOT of bang for your buck as the GTX460 costs 212-220€ here in Slovenia versus the 5850 which costs a whopping 290€!
  13. Heeey guys I've had A LOT of problems with my new computer. Here are 2 BSODs I keep getting randomly (maybe once a day): PFN_LIST_CORRUPT and MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. I didn't really do much research about these BSODs because I really dont hace the time So I just posted it here. Since it says MEMORY_management I assume the memory is fault? Well, I hope for the best! Thanks in future for the help! (and sorry for the awfull lot of smileys in this post.. xD I just HAD to xD)
  14. Catastrophic play from both teams.. Anywho wins now I'd have to say they DIDN'T deserve it.. /discuss
