Pteroduck Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) OH yeah, you're right. I forgot he didnt buy a black edition. sorry about that Edit: the CPU mhz wont change either. Could it be because of the motherboard? I cant find a very detailed article for overclocking 450's just alot of complaints and whatnot Edited October 7, 2012 by Pteroduck
GabrielT Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Well there should be some sort of "allow fsb overclock" or some noise like that. Lots of motherboards you have to unlock the overclocking in the bios. It should be under then frequency adjustment page. Not having OC'd on a biostar board take my suggestions with a grain of salt and a shot a tequila.
dr_bowtie Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I've overclocked many Biostar boards...its very simple
Pteroduck Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I couldnt find such an option...maybe its cause the board is kinda old.... i mean it does support IDE drives and those are pretty old... mine is the n68s3+ board, can you help me out on that? dr_bowtie Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 you dont see a spot in there marked HT reference thats at 200 that you can change? should be on the right hand side options from the main menu in the Overclock Options
Pteroduck Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 i went into performance yes, theres 200 then 100, but i cant click on them, like when i press enter, nothing happens. absolutely nothing. Theres AMD overclocking config, and pstate enable/disable, i enabled but it doesnt really do anything as it is just the usual settings

Pteroduck Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 what..... thats it. all this frustration and for me just to use +/-?
Waco Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Well I'm just guessing but I've had a lot of boards that used plus and minus keys instead of direct entry. Numpad might work too.
dr_bowtie Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 yes some of them are adjustable via the +/- keys and some you just enter a number once it is highlighted....

SpikeSoprano Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Very well could be that it is a vanilla board that has no oc'ing options .
