  1. I agree, activity on the forum itself has reduced. Not sure if its just members presence is missing or the site is left to fend for its self with few updates now days. anyway. Will not expect much traffic for my post. Lets rap up things. The show is over guys. Thank you.
  2. And yea, planning to add 2x2gb ram as well same specs with timing which = 12gb. or may be just go for 16gb, 4gb would just be sitting duck doing nothing.
  3. next time, give a try for Shift+F8
  4. Its not a new problem, many people have faced this. Its mostly to do with your gpu drivers or windows issue. One of the two. You can play with the drivers first and see if the issue gets resolved.
  5. Its been a month since setting my new shiny hardware, more over its been years i have overclocked from my previous build. Now, as i have the opportunity and with very little time to spare, i have managed to push this setup to a stable overclock. "AIR Only". Ill just go ahead and share pics so it all comes down to visual explanation. CPU: [email protected], [email protected]. (Noctua NH-U14s) M.b: z97-A-usb3.1 Ram: Kingston HyperX fury [email protected]. Gpu: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 (Using default cpu fan for extra air out behind the card) I did push the cpu to about 4.8ghz, then i just liked 4.6ghz for 24/7. And yes, Temperatures are all good, nothing above 65c, room is A/C 24/7, so temperature are very much under control.
  6. Good to see members already worked on it
  7. i have never done much of sli to start. May be i should now, drivers have improved hmmm
  8. Change the auto play settings. http://www.thewindowsclub.com/set-autoplay-defaults-windows-10
  9. Thats good to hear, the soft came handy. 60c is quite good temp, considering the hot environment. Good luck with manual settings from there! EPU is just power saving mode directly related to how your cpu clock changes depending on load. You can disable it. (Note: In Auto overclocking, EPU kinda plays a good role for stability). In fact for high overclocking we need the power as well, so in manual O.C it does not make much sense to keep it enabled.
  10. You can turn off the automatic installation and have it go on just a restart that you can schedule, or defer new upgrades (Windows 10.1 or whatever MS calls it), but otherwise, that's it. We did discuss on the other thread. Yes we have no option to switch of the automatic update! But we can trick it by using metered connection and there we be no automatic updates.
  11. You could have used the auto overlock soft from asus on z98-a. It kinda brings it to 4.6 anyway. without any issue. System will be as smooth as you can expect and much stable. The ram latency has increased to let you know, however,.. might not make much noticeable performance difference.
  12. I think i did reply to do this, dint get a post hmmm, anyway... Thermal paste is what i wanted to add. May be the heat is not being transferred as required. Thermal paste might be a good way to look on..
  13. The card is recommended for 900p or with reduced details/less demanding games @1080p GTA V - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Gigabyte/GTX_950_OC/18.html Crysis 3 - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Gigabyte/GTX_950_OC/14.html Its a good GPU for MOBA Games!!
  14. Yeah but where are they going to backup all the stuff, another identical data center next door? I am kind of surprised it was hit by lightning at all, though. I believe they usually use synchronizing databases in differed geo-location? so stuff like this happens. More prepared for natural disasters!!!
