  1. Is that your rig in your sig? care if I ask how much that cost?
  2. amd turion 2.4ghz, 4 gig of mem, 32 bit processing system. Its mainly when it goes to convert to dvd. Later today or tomorrow I will actually do one and watch the formats. I never pay much attention to that end.
  3. I usually take a 20-30 second file and make it double that length, that lets me play it but later I burn in onto dvd and give them to the subjects being video'ed. I wish that helped but I do not know the formats, I know it stays the same format when doubling the length but then has to convert it to burn to dvd and thats what usually takes forever. I burn it for 30fps.
  4. ^that would be amazing! So is a dual CPU build worth it or should I go more traditional? I just would hate to spend the extra money and then find out later it doesnt work like I think it would.
  5. Haven't heard if it but that doesn't mean much lol. I'm a adobe guy for the most part. The stop motion stuff I've done I just compile all the frames at 30fps and let the computer sort out the time per frame. I have adobe but have not gotten into it as there is a pretty steep learning curve. Ulead also does what I need but would love to look into adobe doing it. The go pro will do 60fps at 720p and then I like to have it play back at 30fps so if it were a 10 sec file it goes to 20. How hard is that in adobe?
  6. Good info, I ended up putting an SSD in any computer I use just for start up times. I love it in my laptop and runs cooler too. I even put one in an older mini mac that I use as a remote DVR haha. The video files I use are big files, I just have 30 to do at one time when I do. Is there any benfit in raid 0 for SSD? I wouldnt think so but 10 years ago I never thought raid 0 would help 7200RPM drives....man did it ever.
  7. I usually use Ulead for most.
  8. AMD Opteron 4234 Valencia 3.1GHz Socket C32 95W Six-Core Server Processor OS4234WLU6KGUWOF Cost for 2: 390 Cost for entire build: 885
  9. gotcha, also need a cooling system. Fans or water?
  10. What am I missing? I figured if I built any comptuer I could get away with a little cheaper with one CPU and cheaper motherboard but a little more expensive and I get double the processing. Or is this not going to work how I think it will for video editing?
  11. I was just thinking I could use a little older tech and get more then what is out there but I dont even know if it would work like I would want it to. I have a solid state I would run (love SSD's), no preferance on brand or anything.
  12. I am a noob here at overclockersclub but have been reading on your site for while, figured I would finally join and get real answers. I do a fair amount of video editing, mostly slow motion from go pro stuff. I need a faster build to help process everything. Just day dreaming I was thinking dual CPU's, would that even be realistic? I dont want to call this a budget build but I dont want to spend over 2k. Thank you!
