  1. I've got a M-Audio 2496 installed in my beast. Allows me to push digital audio via digital coaxial cable. Also, I have my other beast pushing audio in via digital coax to my M-Audio card then back out to my receiver. Digital is the way to go!!!!
  2. I've got a 7.1 system rockin' my PC. Polkaudio for speakers, a Pioneer 10" sub and a Infinity 10" (one on both sides of the room) and a Yahama 7.1 receiver. While I'm surfing the net, I like to watch .ts movies on another monitor and enjoy the total surround sound effects. Yeah, I know, I'm weird. I think I'm finally comfortable with it, lol. Laterz
  3. SENNHEISER PC 135 3.5mm/ USB Connector USB PC Headset - 8.0 - 10.0ft. Cord - Adjustable, bendable and pivotable microphone; In-line volume control/Microphone mute switch; Single-sided cable will keep neck and chin free; USB Adapter - no need for a sound card; For IP-based communications Never used nor opened. Make me an offer. Email me at [email protected] if interested.
  4. I wish I could get her to model my new Thermaltake case for me, lol!!! Aaron
  5. Man, that pic is so small. I can't read the numbers. I was looking at the overall things on the pic, you have a lot of programs in your system tray. Are they all necessary??? And just the processes list alone, that is a long list of active programs. I would re-evaluate what programs you always need running and the ones that you could just start up when you really need them. That will help with your system idle and preformance of the computer, in general. Aaron
  6. if you go with the SP-94 and a Tornado... drop a few extra bucks on a fan controller... Aaron
  7. Optic is the way to go. If you can afford a good home receiver and 5.1 or 6.1 speaker system, imagine the deepth of sound you will or could have playing Doom3. Trust me, playing Doom3 with my 6.2 system is frightning!!! Aaron
  8. Yeah, still after a really good lapping, you will still have micro valleys (as stated previous). What that said, after lapping, you do not need much thermal. AS5 is so awesome stuff, but you will not need a lot. Maybe about the size of the tip of a pen, would be enough. I lapped my SP-97 to a microscope, smooth finish. Even though thermal paste is probably not needed, I tried with some and with out. 2C difference from not using some and using a pencil tip worth. I hope that helps a little. =) Aaron
  9. I'm sorry but I was wondering if you were hitting F6 as you are re-installing WinXP??? If so, have you tried not hitting F6 and see if XP will recognize the controller without installing drivers. If the SATA controller uses the hp-something-somthing-something drivers, than XP should be able to recognize the SATA controller without having to supply drivers. Give it a shot with out the drivers and see if it finds the drive. And you will know once you get to the installation point when it asks you what kind of format you want to make the C: (either FAT32 or NTFS). Keep us posted. =) Aaron
  10. WOW!!! I grad from Mission Bay High School in PB and went to UCSD for a year... too much of a party school for me. OH YEAH forgot to ask... what are you using to cool your chip??? Aaron
  11. I don't understand how your system idle process is saying 99% and your cpu usage is saying 45%. The math just doesn't add up. You can only have 100%. Try rebooting your computer into Safe Mode and see if you have the same problem. I can not fathom 99% system idle process and 45% cpu usage... just doesn't add up to 100% or even close... but if you can let us know what happens when you boot up in Safe Mode. Aaron
  12. 225 is reachable if you have the right memory... what kind of memory are you running??? I have some DDR500 Geil and that stuff is amazing... Whatever overclocking you do, make sure you have enough cooling to keep things under control. =) Aaron
