The time has come to pick a new PSU. The choices are between these two models: Sirtec - High Power Element Bronze 600W http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/sirtec-high-power/element-bronze-600w/ Corsair CX600 v2 http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/corsair/builder-cx600-v2/ What would you guys think is the better one? The budget is about 100$ which is about 300 RON. My current configuration is a i5 750, 4 Gb RAM, hd4890 and a 750 Gb harddisk. I usually tend to overclock both the cpu and the gpu, and i'm thinking of switching the hd4890 in the fall with a gtx560 ti or a hd6950 1gb. Sorry for the different language.

Hey, Has anyone seen/heard from hosnappp the last month or so? I bought from him a xfx 8800gt 256mb alpha dog edition video card that was DOA. Not being from the US, I do not fulfill the requirements for the double lifetime warranty so I asked him to give me my money back and haven't heard from him in a while.(from the end of May). I was wondering if anyone of you can help me get in touch with him.

Thanks for the advice, guess i'll have to get in touch with the guy i bought it from and start the RMA procedure. Hope that XFX support will be understanding.

Well, i tried using it as my main video card and it didn't work, same things: no signal and fan at 100%. I read on wikipedia that some 8800 gt had pci express compatibility issues, can't this be the problem?

Do they RMA already used cards? because i bought this one from somebody.

It's in the right slot, i didn't force it in a PCI slot:)). I tried installing the drivers, but they won't install because they couldn't detect any nvidia video card in the system.

i run win7 and yes, I connected the power cables

Hello, I just bought an xfx 8800 gt 256 MB gpu to use for physx. I installed it in my mobo, but windows doesn't recognize it. I tried switching the primary display from my HD 4890 to it and my screen went blank, there was no signal. What do you think is the problem? I have a Gigabyte P55-UD3 motherboard, and the card is installed in the PCI 4x 1.1 slot. Could that be a problem? EDIT: The fan spins at 100% Thanks in advance:).

hey guys, the moment has come to take my 7 year old cpu and give it a mhz bump:)). here are the full specs: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ MSI KT3V 768 MB DDR@ 333 MHz GeForce FX5500 after a little tweaking i got it running rock solid at 1.825V and 1750 MHz. I even got semi-stable at 1800 MHz, the only problem is that P95 gave me a rounding error. I read in other forums that most probably the memory is to blame. What do you think I should do? Lower the memory frequency? Bump the voltage for the cpu and the memory? I tried 1.85V for the cpu and 2.6V for the memory, but it wouldn't post. P.S. I'm on air cooling, have a Thermaltake cooler, that I recently lapped and changed the thermal paste on it - it's never passed 57C full load. Thanks in advance:).
