TheHostileGamer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Is this memory just bad? I look at the model number and the c8 is more expensive than the c9, why is that?
ccokeman Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Better timings= better performance = more $ The same reason 2133MHz rated modules cost more. It takes more time to bin them
TheHostileGamer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 K I'm going to try the settings you gave me now.

Boinker Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I would go ahead and say get new ram and try that before doing anything else. Is there a Computer shop nearby that sells cheapo DDR3??
TheHostileGamer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 No it's across town. Newegg said they would RMA is for me for a credit. This just BS. I got some blue screen that I took a pictures of, maybe you guys can decipher?

wevsspot Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Everything there points towards a memory error or compatibility problem, motherboard problem or possibly IMC problem. If you could upload your mini-dump file it would be a big help. Short term (and while Newegg's offer still stands) seems prudent to take them up on it and just get another (and possibly different) kit of RAM. TheHostileGamer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Actually after looking through other ASUS boards all of them have my CPU on their compatibility lists EXCEPT the board I have, stupid ASUS can't update a simple BIOS? d6bmg Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 And what does that dump file say? From the error code, it looks like RAM compatibility issue if I'm not wrong.
