Which Nvidia Card Maker Is Better?
pacho replied to Psychotic_god's topic in Video Cards and Monitors
leadteks 7800gtx wont fit if you get the extreme edition, the non extreme one sure will fit. as for the xfx thing, although we havent heard problems from their 7 series, i still wouldnt risk my money on them again after the bad reviews they got for their 6 series cards, many defective and early 6800gts agp cards with memory clocked at 900mhz instead of 1000mhz which happened to me. dont know if this is true but many say xfx use cheap parts for their cards. i will go evga or leadtek for my next nvidia card -
true but shortly after amd released their X2 cpus they released drivers to deal with that issue, more people are leaning towards dual core cpus lately, gaming performance is the only reason for not getting one, but now nvidia showed us some good stuff with their upcoming drivers. when lower gaming performance were first seen optimizations were expected by many, i doubt that cpu and video card makers were thinking of leaving it like that, plus the announcement of dual core optimization for F.E.A.R. is proof that game developers are working on this too. as i said the nvidia drivers are only in beta stage and they seem to be in good shape but we'll see real results right after they are released.

have you seen the new 8x.xx beta forceware test? its optimized for dual core cpus, the performance increase is up to 50% from previous drivers using dual core cpus. Since the guy got 7800gtxs in sli he should have gone with a X2 cpu
