I never used to talk crap in games

I never used to talk crap in games.. Then this started happening, ("this" being what's mentioned in image attachment) nearly every game I've played in over 2 weeks. I'm not kidding, I'd have a 10+ W/L ratio EASILY, but.. A minimum 2/3 of the games I've played I will carry my team, single handedly taking a massive lead for the entire team and putting up a nice score..

 

Then I get autobalanced or switched by an admin.. To the other team.. With too little time to take the score back.. My quit percentage has gone way up these past 2 weeks..

 

And about a third of the times it does this: there's some guy trolling or abusing a bug: And I'm beating him anyways, not talking crap back.. Then it puts me on that team, and him on my previous team.. Basically handing a skilless moron my win at the end of the match, and handing me his loss..

 

How I even have a positive W/L anymore is a miracle..

 

I'm debating quitting BF3 until my 560 Ti is sent back from RMA.. Because thegame doesn't even look pretty on my GTS 250, and it's sure losing it's fun factor REALLY fast. I was never much of a competitive gamer, i played for fun.. But taking nearly every win and shoving up my backside in the last seconds/minutes? That is starting to set me off....

 

Btw yeah, I talk a LOT of crap now. Because the game is losing it's fun factor: it's more about trying to win one match without having to beat myself in the last few minutes.. I mean just 4 games ago I was against a full base raping team on a 64p server.. I took 4 points SOLO (when the rest of my team couldn't even get 30 yards out of our own spawn without being wiped), and held at least 3 of them at any given time, taking the 4th back whenever I wasn't defending a currently held point.. Went from a 600 ticket loss to a 200 ticket win.. And it switches me to the team I just denied a base rape.. And we ended up losing, because I gave the other team a 200 ticket lead and we had about 60 tickets left when it switched me..

I was playing so well this game that a level 100 prestige (or whatever the golden eagle is) rage quit because he couldn't touch me.. I mean I took down his attack helicopter with a repair torch ffs! (jumped out of a jet and hit it as he was trying to recover). And in the end: it was just another loss...

 

So basically I single handedly turned the game around, 800 tickets worth.. And the game decides "hey, we want the player who deserves the win to lose, just because."

 

I'm taking a break from this PoS game for a little while, not sure how long. Because it's gonna make me a rage-based player if I don't. This wouldn't bug me so bad if it was an occasional thing: But it's far more often than not. Saying 2/3 of my matches is generously low, it's nearly every match I play.. And THAT is not so easily ignored.

I suggest you stop using the Quick Match function if you still are, and find a few cool servers via the browsers. I prefer playing on servers that use autobalance but it switches people between rounds. Becoming a regular on a server has nothing but advantages to offer.

Shouldn't balancing happen between not during matches? What the hell kinda system is this?

 

I don't know. Half my favorite servers have recently been removed, because they started this mid game auto balance junk.

 

At computered:

I don't thinks its EA, but yeah lol.. sounds like them. It's server admins, they set it this way for "fairness". I guess they never got a win stuck up their bum to understand.

 

And about not using quick match: I barely use it anymore. Used it once and got into a caspian border domination match: was already getting tired of this balance junk, so I just drove around in a jeep trying to capture points purely by running people over and doing donuts to avoid getting hit until it was capped.

 

^^ helped relieve a little stress. Then my next 4 games were the same balance crap, on 4 entirely different servers. Having a hard time finding one that doesn't do this that has more than 3 or 4 players online.

 

SQDM has been the only game mode I haven't had this issue in. But I get tired of playing one mode all the time, I'm always switching to new ones to keep it fresh.

No my point was the dumb idea of a mid match balance system. I can understand a match balacne system that looks at players overall rating and then tries to balance the match at the start and rebalances with each new match. This actually in many ways makes sense to me. But to actually during the match swithc teams is just DUMB!

Come to think of it, It would have been pretty awesome if they had a "buy a mercenary" functionality in the game... but what's currently happening sounds pretty lame. Think of it like this:

 

Team is losing, but a little before half-way through the game, the losing team can "buy" the top 5 players on the other team (they sacrifice some experience points or whatever, but it's better if they end up winning than losing, anyway). If that happens, and if the top 5 players lose, they still get the experience or whatever of having won. However, if the top 5 players end up winning after having switched to the losing side, they get double the experience points or whatever.

 

They could have done something similar to that, but hey, it's EA probably trying to tell the developer how to balance the game.

I can see why the system exists.

 

Rage quitting has created the situation. Look at the alternative. If it dosen't auto-balance mid game, you get the loosing team abandon ship and the game either ends in a total wipe fest, or play stops altogether because everyone leaves.

 

I don't play BF3, but I know that I wish L4D2 had a balance system at times. It happens too often that you are on the winning team and the loosing team just quit. Meaning the match ends.

 

I understand your frustration, however I still don't see a better solution to the problem of an imbalanced team due to Rage quit.

Punish rage quitters. Make them grow a pair and accept the fact that you're not going to win every game. Or if they want to win that badly than play better and earn it.

 

May I suggest toning your skills down some and stop being so good at the game so the losing team doesn't rage quit and cause the server to switch you over.

Yes, lets lower our standards to the under acheivers of society. This kind of thinking pisses me off. And no not about a game but this is what happens in RL. Like taxing people more when they make more money. Because someone is good at what they do and strives for success they get punished for it. It's like a socialism mentality that rewards lazyness.
