  1. Thanks - I'll keep that in mind if the retailer refuses the card.
  2. Doesn't look like they even have a service for Europe that I can use - The pages they have tell me to contact the re-seller (heh)
  3. Not here - They do their own in house testing. So if they can't find the error, it is simply sent back to me, with me having to pay postage both ways. Which is why I really want to find some way of consistently provoking the error so I can tell them what to do to prove my case.
  4. Nothing from me, no. It's all running factory settings. The card itself is just over a year old and no previous issues of any kind. I haven't run an overlay temp check, but given how it will occur from just regular desktop (And the fact that I haven't been able to provoke it at extreme settings in Furmark in 15minutes), I'd say argue that temperature is probably not the cause. I'm thinking faulting Graphics RAM right now - My previous 560TI had a similar issue, which turned out to be a RAM error. But it was much more aggressive and easy to provoke so it was an easy RMA. But I can't find any kind of testing app that will let me test the entire RAM of my card, only half of it at a time.
  5. I forgot to mention that I have since then installing Windows 8 (complete format of the old Windows 7 partition that was there earlier), along with a complete reinstall of all drivers (obviously)
  6. A couple of days ago, my screen started having random red lines flicker across the screen and some odd boxy flickers of either pure white or parts of the rendered screen (like if you had cut out a portion of the screen and threw it around the desktop) This odd behaviour isn't exclusive to while I am playing - I've also had it happen some twenty minutes after closing a game and watching something on youtube - Or even during a day when I haven't started a game at all. I've tried Furmark at some fairly extreme settings for a good fifteen minutes while observing, as well as performing a RAM test of the card (Though I could only get it to test a Gig for some reason) and nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions for some tests I can throw at it to try and achieve a consistent provocation of it? It's hard to RMA a card that randomly shows problems that I can't seem to catch on tape or screenshot. I need something to show a consistent problem to get anywhere with my local IT dealer. Note: This odd behaviour could be linked to some random BSOD's I receiving during a LAN a few weeks back. The PC would suddenly Blue Screen during gameplay or on the desktop.
  7. Yeah I do have an Ivy compatible Motherboard. Switched that one out last year in a similar situation (the free upgrade that is). Might just go for the Ivy then and save the trouble of a new socket.
  8. Since my 2500K is at the shop under warranty, I've been offered to upgrade it to an Ivy or Haswell equivalent at "difference cost" (Which means basically free Ivy upgrade) but I was wondering if it is even worth it? I've read the heat issues with Haswell which worries me a little - I'm purely a gamer so Hyperthreading and such don't really apply at all to me. My 2500K is basically running stock - I've allowed it to be automatically clocked up and down using the Intel Speedstep feature, but I haven't actually bothered to overclock it myself (even though I have a Thermalright 120 TRUE ... something something)
  9. Hey guys. I'm looking for a replacement monitor for my old Syncmaster 204B, which is starting to show its age with a couple of bugs stuch here and there and a yellow'ish pressure spot in the upper right corner. Anyway, I've been asking around on local forums here in Denmark but noone seems to be able to come up with a qualified answer, so I'm trying my luck here. Originally my aim was to get ahold of the Samsung 240HD, which has received great reviews - before it was pulled from the market that is. The replacement, the P2470HD looks promising but I cannot seem to find any decent reviews of it anywhere (which doesn't seem promising). Do you have any suggestions based on the list below, and possibly a review or two to back it up? :thumbs-up: Must haves. - 24" or bigger. - ~280
  10. From what I can gather myself, a program sends certain data to the driver (or so I would guess) which then turns the data into the displayed text and graphics. EVEmon (as an example) has a G15.dll file in it's directory. I would assume that it would be possible to pick up on the data sent to the driver and send it elsewhere to a 3rd party panel using software on driver level or something similar. I am no programmer however, which is why I am asking here if anyone knows anything about it.
  11. I've been toying with the idea of putting a large LCD panel in one of my 5
  12. Not yet, but I'll try and bring them to work tomorrow and see if it is the same.
  13. I tried switching over to another port and it went away....until the next time I rebooted. Seems to be a software thing or something.... annoying :angry2:
  14. Heya. I've tried to get in contact with Logitech support for a while now over email (Don't have a phone....sad I know) but with no luck so far. You see I just got a pair of G35 Headphones as a present and they have an annoying tinnitus like tone in both ears. It's fairly weak but when there's no sound coming from the system it is clearly audible and slowly driving me nuts. It turns down a notch when the Mic isn't muted but still audible enough for me to turn on music to avoid raging. Has anyone else experienced similar from their G35 Headphones and possibly know the cause / a solution. I've noticed that it isn't until the USB connection powers up ( Drivers Load up etc.. ) that it appears, but I guess that's to be expected. Thanks in advance. ~Illa
