wildman2 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Hopefully I'm going to start pumpin some good ppd when I get my new video card/cards in feb sometime.Then in june my boy is giving me his pc before he goes to afganistan.That will be another hyperthreaded quad core and video card/cards to do some more folding. Between his machine (with video card upgrade) and my two i'll be doing 250,000ppd or more fingers crossed. I may even press an older pc or 2 I've got just laying around in the parts pile for some folding duty. red454 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I would like to break into the top ten here. I did that on the ASUS ROG team (I am number 8 with about 15.5 million points). The number 1 spot on the ROG team has 132 million points so it will take several years I think to be in that range. I can't imagine that guy's electric bill. But I am number 1 on the Purdue team. wildman2 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Good luck breaking into top ten here.The top ten have some pretty high points.Need to have ppd of over 400,00 for a long time to get there i'd think.Lot of ppl are not folding.Cant really say anything bout that cause i didn't fold for along time for OCC either. Right now i have 2 pc's going.The one in my sig which has a 6970 video card w/gpu oc to 920 and a 3820 quad core cpu oc to 4223.Thought about putting in the 4870 in there also maybe get a few points from that as well. Other pc is old E-5200 dual core with an old 9800gtx I believe the 9800 is out to 900 on the gpu.Also just put an old gateway together again for the wife, ancient 939 socket 3800 cpu and 9600 video card.May start folding on that one if it's even worth it. Got a hodge podge of junk laying around could prolly put together 2 more pc's but they would just be doing cpu folding unless a very old nvidia 6800 can fold hehehehe.
