  1. I can report that the switch was smooth as butter... Had to re-activate win7 and Office 2013, but no big deal... Thanks for everyone's help...
  2. Wow!!! I had not heard about this. Although I am fairly new to overclocking and can't say I even knew what LLC was before reading a few posts about it. I've only seen good reviews on this board and that it is, indeed, a pretty big leap from the msi board I have. I'm wondering what other people think???
  3. I had such great response from the folks over in the OS support forum that I thought I would try my luck over here... I'm in the process of switching from the MSI z77a-g41 to the ASRock z77 Extreme 4 (for obvious overclocking reasons). here are my specs: i7 3770K Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (//www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099) G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455) Kingston Hyper X 120GB SSD (for OS and virus protection) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239049) Crucial M4 512GB SSD for games and Photoshop, etc... (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148527) Seagate 2T for everything else (photos, video, music) Zotac GTX 680, 4GB (Amp edition) (http://www.todaystechonline.com/gaming/pr-zotac-announces-gtx-680-amp-4gb-gtx-680/) Either onboard sound or Zonar DX (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132006&Tpk=xonar%20dx) Looking for the best overclocking solution for CPU and Ram as well as any other tips/tricks for the rest of my hardware on the new ASRock board Thanks in advance...
  4. I know I will need to re-activate Win 7, but why did you need to re-install Office?
  5. Not sure if this belongs here or in Motherboard support, but I'm going to move from the MSI z77a-g41 to the ASRock z77 Extreme 4 (for obvious overclocking reasons). here are my specs: i7 3770K G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Kingston Hyper X 120GB SSD (for OS and virus protection) Crucial M4 512GB SSD for games and Photoshop, etc... Seagate 2T for everything else (photos, video, music) Zotac GTX 680, 4GB (Amp edition) I've had this current setup for about 1 month on my MSI and am now moving to the ASRock. What method would you all use to avoid re-installing Win 7?
