Enermax Galaxy EVO 1250W

Recommended Posts

I just noticed something which i never even realized and i may feel quite stupid and retarded in a little bit.

The power supply, when installed into your comp, the fan on the PSU should be facing UP, correct?

Because mine was facing Downwards which makes no sense at all, I have HAF 932 Case, PSU On Bottom.

As i did not build my computer, Digital Storm built mine.

If i built this computer myself i would of had the Fan facing upwards so it would intake the air, instead it is intaking basically no air because it is blocked by the floor...

Haha i just noticed something. The reason why the fan was facing downwards like that is because if the PSU is facing the way it is supposed to be the cables will not reach... the Motherboard, ha.... wow.

I really want the PSU to be facing the correct way, are there any extentions or something?

I have the Haf 932 and if you try to snake the wire going to the other side of the case, it will not reach the Motherboard connection....

It depends on whether your psu fan is an exhaust or intake fan. I had my psu fan up for awhile, then realized it was supposed to be fan down. Either way, I think your fine; an exhaust fan is going to push the hot air down, away from the components (that's what mine does, and if I mount it fan up, it blows hot air straight onto the gpu.), and a pull fan is going to take cool air from the bottom, which is better for the psu than the warm air in the case.

The psu is mounted properly. I seen the video reviews on the cooler master website for the case. There are slots that allow air to flow into the bottom and the exhaust goes out the back. Just feel the air with your hand to confirm the correct operation.
