my cpu temps are kinda high, i want to get a different heatsink to lower the temps. what kinda should i get?

yeah it's all different, i have the same processor and i have it clocked at 1.67 and it's about 45 degrees C, and my friend has the same one at it's about 90 degrees C, it's gonna die pretty soon. If i were you i would just move it up slowly and try do your daily things, try games, do whatever, and just make sure everything works properly, and if it does, then make it a little faster. but don't forget to watch your temps

i don't see anything wrong with an 8500DV, i have it and i like it, but i don't do a whole lot of over clocking good luck with your new system

i tried updating my bios, but somehow somethin went wrong, now i hit the power button and my monitor never goes on, what's wrong? is it somethin with my bios? how can i fix it, i did change the cpu speed down right before it stopped working also, but i don't think that would have done anything

what can i overclock this too with out wreckin anything. i have an Abit KX7 333 mother board w/ Major Brand 256 mb ddr ram, pc2700. antec 400 watt p/s. need more info, ask. how do i know what my multiplier and fsb are so i can take: multiplier x fsb = cpu speed

i was look at doing the shinny boy project, i'm on a low budget and i was wondering if the velcro would hold good enough or if there are any one ways that would be better. i'm on a low budget, keep it around the same price. also, i have an antec full tower. the shinny boy project can be looked at here - shinny project

i did install direct x 9. i was lookin at an ati 9700 and it said the first ati to suport direct x 9, what's that mean, do i need a new card to play that game?

i have already looked at that, thanks for the info., i was just wondering if anyone new anything about buildin a fulltower. i'm not sure what to do about mounting drives. i want to use plexi glass so it's all clear, but i don't want to use glue or anything so my drives are stuck. i was thinking about making something like a regular case, and just putting screws through the glass into the drives, i'll have to find longer screws though. anyone know anything post it. any and all info is good

i want to build my own transparent case, maybe out of plexi glass. I also want some neon lights. I want a fullsize tower. Is it hard? What supplies do i need? i'm new, will i be able to do it? any and all suggestions please!

the graphics are messed up when i try to play, could it be my video card? i have a ati A-I-W 8500 DV, i go to the system requirements for the game and it says i don't have direct x 8.1 or higher, but i try to install direct x and it says it has it
