  1. I kinda disagree, 1600mhz is just fine unless you're rendering a lot of video you don't need high dollar ram. Crucial ballastix has been fine for me even when I game. True. Im using a low voltage 1600 Kingston kit, great value. BF4 scales quite well with faster RAM. I'm not sure, but maybe in the future more games will too.
  2. With Netflix and HBOGO, tv's arn't necessary to waste an immense amount of time on shows.
  3. Rest assured this situation is already more complicated than any of us can imagine. Too much politics. Obama messed up though, either way he gets egg on his face. The question is, should the US back down because Russia starts throwing its weight around? This should be interesting, I want to see if the UN can function effectively.
  4. The pain! I will be moving there soon...... *a sharp pain shoots through my left arm* expensive computer parts and slow internet, HOW WILL I SURVIVE?? I have a few friends in Australia, and apparently they have a few good online retailers that move PC components. Tell me. Does such a thing exist in New Zealand?
  5. https://www.mrspeakers.com/MrSpeakers-Mad-Dog-Alpha-Pad-Fostex-T50RP-headphone Some people say that these are the best closed headphones under $1000. Arguable, but notable. http://www.amazon.com/AKG-Signature-Reference-Class-Premium-Headphones/dp/B004444O3W Good reference class headphone, don't bother going for the k702. Not much of a difference. http://www.amazon.com/Grado-Prestige-Series-Stereo-Headphone/dp/B000G3LCQC%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAJ7VMODKUTIUWFY2Q%26tag%3Dheadfiorg-pro-mct-li-t-d-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB000G3LCQC Kinda under budget, awesome Grado's, comfort may be an issue with the pads. Those can be changed.
  6. The Fostex T50-RP is solid, really solid. But sound wise, in my opinion, its not worth it unless you modify it. The original design doesn't even begin to fully exploit what those drivers are capable of.
  7. A standard response, you aren't talking to anyone in a position to change policy. Heck, you aren't talking to anyone who would even take your complaint. They are telling you what they need to make you go away. A petition would work if you get a large and vocal group. You could try and sue, but it's their game, odds are not good. Dont bother calling again, they dont care. I dont wanna be negative here. Seems hopeless. Consider moving? I know, hard thing to do.
  8. Factory settings? Yeah. But I own an 8350 and it's all about the overclocking baby. Plus it has more cores, so for certain functions the 8350 would be superior. If you are looking for a no hassle decent gaming rig, get the i5.
  9. October? Right before my exams? PERFECT! I'd be very interested to see how the multiplayer works out. I have a feeling it might affect me....... Sexually.
  10. This is actually quite common worldwide, and it's the first thing I consider when I contemplate migrating to another country. Petitions don't work when they have a monopoly. I really hate ISP's, those greedy cocksuckers expect to get paid by everyone. Google, Netflix, the firm providing netflix, the consumer. Then they go and cap your internet on 50gb, pretending like bandwidth is liquid gold.
  11. Man. My dad tells me these exact same stories, he has a whole collection. He can do mechanical engineering, but now he mostly does data management. Incompetent co-workers, supervisors who are less knowledgeable than the incompetent employees. He once quit because of a "mary" character. That was a tough year. Seems to me you will find these people everywhere and anywhere you go... Argh.... I would assume being a car salesman would be quite a volatile job, gotta be quick on your feet. Best of luck! Let us know how it goes.
  12. LCD2's? Damn. I just had a friend sell his for $600+ The earpads were slightly scuffed and the exterior alittle rusted, so I figure its a decent sale. Some people really don't like the LCD2 soundstage, best to try them out first. Ooooh yeah. Audeze has a new closed LCD prototype, I've not had the pleasure myself, but I hear very good things. MrSpeakers has this new 3D printed version of the MadDogs, calls it the AlphaDogs. I might shell out $600 to give it a go.
  13. Gonna give you the standard answer. Check the contacts, clean them. Check the cables. Re-seat it. Maybe have the case laying down instead of standing up. At this age the card shouldn't be dying, I'm using a 460 here, still doing fine. Still have a 260 here, also doing fine. Looks like you ruled out driver issues. Meh. Sometimes shit breaks for no reason.
  14. I don't think 3ms of response time matters very much, unless you are really particular about your gaming. Which dell monitor were you looking at? Either way, that Asus, nice contrast ratio, good price. I was looking at the Samsung monitors in that price range. My god! Wtf is wrong with those prices?
  15. I own a kindle paperwhite, it's only good for reading, don't expect it to do anything else. Physical books are nice, but I can read with my kindle at night, and sometimes you just can't find the book you want in the library. Occasionally Amazon charges more for ebooks than paperbacks, its very stupid. Amazon usually has a DRM on the books you buy, So install a de-drm plugin on calibre. But for the popular books you can usually torrent them or find them in your local library.
