Samsung SSD

The only major problem with Samsung ssds is they are TLC nands and that means 100TB or read and writes . You couldn't kill a MLC drive unless you tried really hard for months . A TLC drive only needs to be used normally for a year before its dead . 100TB is nothing .

I would dispute the prediction that after one year the Samsung 840 pro SSD would be dead, but we'll leave that for another discussion  :)

 

Other than finding a drive on sale... IMHO the best 120Gb SSD on the market for price and performance right now is the Corsair Neutron GTX

It is one of the very few SSDs that don't suffer a performance loss based on the capacity of the drive.  

 

While I certainly wouldn't turn down a Samsung 840 Pro at the right price, I think $149 is just too much money for that particular drive.
