Waco Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 You list "Not fully modular" as a con but I'd count that as a bonus. Hard-soldered connections will carry the current with less resistance and I can't think of any time when you wouldn't need almost every single one of the non-modular cables. Damn nice supply though. ccokeman Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 The resistance drop across the modular connection is negligible and does not decrease the voltage coming through in a measurable amount the last couple times I tried it. I understand that any break in a wire imparts an increased resistance value and can increase heat through the connection and lead to a voltage drop but its not an issue here. The main ATX connection is not my issue anyhow its the ancillary connections that must be hidden if not used.
