  1. Maybe I should just take the gpu first and take it to the repaire shop, and test it. If its not working then I need a new gpu, if not, then it's the spu.
  2. Isn't there another way to do this besides changing components? Changing the spu back and forth would really suck, and there's no one I know that even has above 500w spu.
  3. CPU and mobo temps are fine, usually 47'. But what still bugs me are the red voltage indicators, I don't think I had that before. Where it says 5v it's going 5.6v, 12v is going 13.9. So you guys think it's the gpu?? I wouldn't want to carry my whole pc to the repaire shop, would be nice to know the specific component.
  4. Yeah. One time there was a red light coming from the gpu. Is it because I need to clean it? I highly doubt that that's the spu because my pc never shuts down just the monitor.
  5. The monitor doesn't turn off imidiatly as I turn on the pc so I have enough time to check the bios, sometimes. I just reinstalled the windows and it still keeps crashing, I lucked out that it didn't crash while I was installing the thing. Oh and, it didn't do that when I was in safe mode but that's just probably because I didn't wait long enough...
  6. NOOOOO!!! Say it ain't so. The specs are: cpu-I7 930, gpu-radeon hd5970, mobo-asus p6td, ram-1600 6gb. Are you sure??? If that's the gpu, then why are the CPU voltage monitors red???
  7. Hello. I'm having this issue with my PC latly and I don't know what the cause is. After I turn on my pc and run it for a few minutes, my monitor stops getting the image but the pc is still running, also sometimes my fans join in and run at full speed. Can somebody tell me what's going on, or better yet, how to fix it. Also I checked the bios and the only wired thing I noticed is, under the "Hardware Monitor" where it says "CPU voltage" then there's "3.3v Voltage", "5v Voltage" and "12v Voltage". 3.3v, 5v and 12v are in color red so I take it that's bad. BTW I did not overclock anything and I even set my bios to default but nothing works so please help, I'm typing from my iPod and it sucks.
  8. I did some research and found this: "I've worked out the problem and it's the cable. Apparently cheapo cables have pin 20 connected which they're not supposed to under the display port standard and this causes the issue. More info here http://en.community.dell.com/support.../19813562.aspx There's actually a NEC notice about it http://www.necdisplay.com/cms/docume...ort_Notice.pdf I've got two cables and pin 20 is connected and I'm sure your three cables will be the same. I've just ordered the bellin displayport cable from the Dell site which is a certified display port cable and doesnt have pin 20 connected. I'll report back once I receive it." from here: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=934252 and this: "The Belkin cable finally arrived (delays due to stock availability/flooding hampering delivery here in Brisbane), tested with a multimeter and pin 20 isn't connected hooray!!! Pluged the cable in, booted the computer with no problems, setup eyefinity and now happily widescreen gaming at 5760 x 1080. So Far: Good = Belkin & Link Depot Bad = Astrotek If you're experiencing problems check for continuity between Pin 20 on each end of the cable with an Ohmeter/Multimeter, pin 20 is the pin closest to the bevel on the displayport connector (IT SHOULD NOT BE CONNECTED)." from here: http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=260&threadid=127563 I still have a problem I can't find Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort or HDMI to DisplayPort cables from Belkin or Link Depot.
  9. I tried connecting my PC(GPU) with a mini DP to DP cable but it didn't work. I tried to find out why but I still don't get it, it seems it had something to do with the 20th Pin...
  10. I also tried connecting my PC(GPU) with a mini DP to DP cable but it didn't work. I tried to find out why but I still don't get it, it seems it had something to do with the 20th Pin... Also can you guys post a link to these adapters that would work for me, I don't want to make any mistakes again.
  11. You mean getting a 2HDMI to DVI adapter???
  12. Hi. I have a pc and a ps3 at home. I connected my PC through DVI, no problem there but my ps3 outputs HDMI and my monitor doesn't support that. So the only option left is DisplayPort, I went to the store and bought DisplayPort to HDMI cable but it doesn't work. So basicly I need to connect my ps3 through my DisplayPort, any sugestions???
  13. I have black bars, I switched to 16:9 in my monitor settings but it still looks bad.
