  1. You could got with 2 3TB drives which would save you around $35 but that probably wont work with your raid setup. You could probably save $20 or so on a cheap M-atx motherboard.
  2. Budget is about $900 I thought I would just stick with the stock cooler for now since I won't be doing any overclocking. I probably will overclock in the future but then ill put in a hyper 212 evo. Shouldn't be to hard with the CPU cutouts now days. And besides is cold in tassie. I'm looking to upgrading to a graphics card at a later date. As at the moment I don't even have a 1080p monitor in the house. Even the tv is 720p so the intergrated should get me by.
  3. Hello everyone So after much debate i managed to convince my IT teacher and both my parents it was a good idea to build a computer as a project The computer will be used for a bit of everything. watching movies, playing games, surfing the net, the odd bit of video editing and the like. I'm planning to buy all the parts from Pc Case gear which is the cheapest store I've found that ships to Tasmania cheaply. The objectives of the chosen hardware is: reliability and upgradeablity. PSU: Corsair CX-600 Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K MOB: ASUS P8Z77-V Motherboard RAM: Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 SSD: Crucial M4 SSD 128GB not quite 100% sure on this one. But i hear most SSD's are about the same, just pick a good brand and you'll be right? HDD: ive got 3 old 80gb hard drives that i was thinking about raiding together would it be better to do software raid in windows or through the bios? OS: Windows seven home premium 64 bit...i tried the windows 8 preview and not sure whether i like it or not. I don't really have the need for a optical drive get most of my games of steam...ill have to scavenge one from a computer at school for installing windows CASE OPTION 1: Corsair Carbide 200R Compact ATX Case CASE OPTION 2: ARC MIDI R2 And yes because it is a school project i will be putting up a work log on the forums feel free to comment Makarov
  4. yea after my 5000 battles i still dont have a tier 10, only got 2 tier 9's
  5. ive played over 5000 thousand battles. i could never really be bothered with mods
  6. Since you all like Australian accents that much I though I should share this with you. Telstra is Australia's biggest phone network and as of late have. Been moving there call centers, were the labour is cheap. Hope you enjoy
  7. FiTZY works in the media industry and is heavily involved in the AFL coverage. he does have a very Australian accent but gets payed to do practical jokes of this sort, and over exaggerated the accent . their are people that talk like that but don't expect everyone in Australia to talk like that. Australia does have the highest immigration rate in the world after all. Most of you would think it sounds strange because you haven't heard it much before. To us (Australians) a American accent sounds normal because we hear it every day in songs, games, TV shows and movies.
  8. Dug this quote up from maximumpc in there 2011 dream machine artical. Winston Churchill once said,
  9. That second paragraph is like a whole year 9 bussiness studies coarse in 50 words :/
  10. If you really not sure what to do on your own. Take it into a computer store and get them to open it up take a look and clean it out.
  11. Same aussie hip hop all the way...fifty in five atm just listened to chase that feeling
  12. Yea and my school didn't even give us the day off You put a bet down stoner?
  13. I think my headphones are the limiting factor here. I streched my budget and ordered the $70 headphones you said so here's hoping it should improve bulk.
  14. your making me hate my unrootable HTC wildfire s all over again...I use it as my music player, currently using the power amp app i really didnt notice any change moving from a IPOD but then again im not a audiophile like some of use are
