  1. Hey guys, my G9x died and I'm waiting for Logitech to reply to my RMA request. In the mean time I've been looking at other mice since I was never a big fan of the G9x anyways, and I don't like any of the new Logitech mice they'd send me if my RMA does get approved. So I was looking at the Func MS-3 because I have large hands and it looks great. My only question is for all the current owner of this mouse out there.. how does it perform in Windows 8? I do not feel like re-formatting and installing Windows 7 to get a mouse working. I don't necessarily need profiles (though it'd be nice), but I've read several posts of the thing online where people say it's not detected correctly in W8. Is this true? Because locally there's a store that sells it, but has a 15% restocking fee. I don't feel like paying $13 in restocking fees just because it doesn't work on my OS, and I don't even know how comfy it is because the store didn't have a demo model. =\ Any help guys?
  2. Ah. I don't have pictures because I'm at work but looking at the back of the case last night it looked fine. But when I plug in both my mouse and keyboard in to those 2 ports the LEDs on both flash on and off. It sounds like more work than its worth as I've never had good soldering skills and I don't want to unplug everything and take it all apart over 2 USB ports. I guess the PCI card is the way to go. =\ Thanks guys, I figured as much.
  3. Hey guys because of tangled wires and my own laziness I think the 2 USB 2.0 ports I was using for my mouse and keyboard on the back of my motherboard are now probably warped. The wires were sorta tight for a while when I was using it and randomly today the sound that Windows makes when you plug in and unplug a new USB device kept playing. Finally both the keyboard and mouse stopped working. I tried plugging them into a different usb port and sure enough it works. Is there any way to fix this sort of thing or am I better off just forgetting about it?
  4. Really? So it shows the desktop pretty much instantly? I've tried all manner of things and I really would prefer not to format again if I can help it. Have you ever had this problem at all? My benchmark scores are fine so it's not a connection or SATA controller issue...
  5. I could do both HDMI and DVI with my SLI setup. But DP doesn't work with HDMI, but it does with DVI. =\
  6. Hey guys, I'm running GTX 460 1GB's in SLI and I've been using DVI and HDMI to get a dual screen setup with my old Viewsonic VX2025WM (DVI) and my Toshiba 32" LCD TV (HDMI). Recently I bought a new Dell U2412M monitor and a DisplayPort cable to go alongside it. When I plug my DP cable into one of the cards, I notice that I get no signal from my HDMI cable no matter which card I plug the HDMI cable into. Is there a reason for this? I've never used a DP cable before so I'm confused as to why this is happening. The main reason I want the HDMI on to the TV is because I have everything in the bedroom so it's nice to move watching movies with the wife on the bigger TV without the need for headphones. Do I have to choose either DP or HDMI or something? =\
  7. Nothing new. I have less programs starting up now than before...
  8. Does dual-booting cause this sorta problem? It's my first time dual-booting since I got an SSD and maybe GUID isn't playing nice with MBR?
  9. But benchmarks show that it's great and speeds are fine?
  10. So I have the most up to date firmware and I tried using Intel Toolbox to optimize too, no dice. Still same thing..
  11. I almost regret going this route now.. =\ But then 120GB vs 60GB is such a huge boost lol
  12. Can I update firmware on the OS drive while it's running? Will it wipe any data?
  13. I've actually re-formatted this drive 3 times just to hopefully solve this issue. No dice. So you think a re-imaging would help? I'm not disputing that it might work, but would you know why?
  14. No, actually I've done MORE to optimize my install this time than I did last time in fact. It makes no sense. The only difference now is that before it was a single OS and now I'm dualbooting my Hackintosh install. They're on separate drives though, and the bootloader is on the Hackintosh drive (OCZ Vertex 3). Would that make a difference? Is this maybe an OS thing? Because after benchmarking both drives I can tell you the 520 is on par with the OCZ so I can't see what's causing it. It's driving me nuts though!
  15. Clean install always. Does anyone else here have a 520? If so, how long does it take from when you press Enter after inputting a password for your desktop to show up?
