Chapter 4 : HAFinaX 2.2

05/08/2011

The Asus P8P67 Pro came back from RMA, I bought an i7 2600k so it's normal to be back to the Asus :P (with a mini blue mod for the HAFinaX)

mini_1108070702401241738558183.jpg mini_1108070702451241738558185.jpg mini_1108070702441241738558184.jpg

Like i said, a new air cooler appeared, the BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro C1,very beautiful, but really $#!£ annoying to install, for good results and quiet, but at 12v (100%) it does some reactor noise :P (hopefully it's plugged with the Lamptron FC-2 Regulator)

mini_1108070702491241738558186.jpg mini_1108070702491241738558187.jpg

06/08/2011

Everything is installed (also windows :P ), so let's boot

mini_1108070702491241738558188.jpg mini_1108070702501241738558189.jpg mini_1108070702501241738558190.jpg

everything seems ok so let's close the beast

mini_1108070702501241738558191.jpg mini_1108070702511241738558192.jpg mini_1108070702511241738558193.jpg

mini_1108070702511241738558194.jpg mini_1108070702511241738558195.jpg mini_1108070708461241738558227.jpg mini_1108070708461241738558228.jpg

13/09/2011

some changes, like : a new DVD burner Asus (instead of LG), changed the red LEDS of the 230 Frontal fan to Blue, replacement of the 140 back fan by a 120mm NoiseBlocker XL2, and put the 140 in the 5.25" cage .

DSC00148.JPG

A BIG and HUGE thanks to ClandestinoDZ who gave me blue LEDS and the tools to do it, i couldn't do anything without him

and also a BIG THANKS to A13X who lend me a hand to help me working on the leds (cause i had no support to hold and do the solder in the same time  ) so we did it with wooden clothespin

10/11/2011

Reception, unboxing and assembly of (03) blue Megaflow (sorry for the pix, but the cam doesn't support all these colors/lights  .)

Let's Start with unboxing.

DSC00244.JPG DSC00245.JPG DSC00246.JPG DSC00247.JPG

Now let's open HAFinaX (like a surgeon :whistling: ) for the assembly, and here is what I discovered .... :mfp::pfp:

DSC00250.JPG DSC00251.JPG

What the ... is this ... ? :pfp:l et's clean this as fast as possible (by the way the last cleaning is less than a month ago, hopefully it's only the upper part which is "like that", but it's up, get down with move (logically ) )

DSC00252.JPG DSC00253.JPG

A way better ;) . I hope coolermaster (that i adore) will do filters that we can clean and remove easier (like in the NZXT for example) and especially more efficient filters because when i seen this .... :fp:

A fast disassembling of the Dark Rock Pro to clean the dust that felt on it. (it looks like my "old" Noctua NH-D14)

DSC00254.JPG

Finally here is the result. (precision : it's really blue not violet like in pictures)

DSC00256.JPG DSC00260.JPG DSC00261.JPG DSC00268.JPG

To conclude, i'm pretty satisfied with this fans, it's not really the same blue as the other lights (we don't see it a lot) but it breathes a lot of fresh air in silence

Nice build, I like the HAF 932!

Whats the point of those 7.1 speakers if there are acting as a 2.1 setup? :whoa:

actually it's a HAF-X but i also owned the HAF 932 for my previous Rig

yes it's true it acts like a 2.1 setup but it's louder :P

i installed them like this because i haven't much space, and lot of wires

PS : i'll continue to post my other pictures and the evolution in few minutes (as soon as i'll found how to add a video  i'm more familiar with vBulletin forums )

24/11/2011

I returned to my Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 with an i5 2500k after the "Death" of the Asus P8P67 Pro AND the 2600k :vmad: Asus just "screwed up" with this serie

here's some pictures

I think you may have misinterpreted his reply. I think he knows that it is a HAF-X, but prefers the HAF 932 more.

Personally, if I had to choose I'd pick HAF-X over HAF 932.

Glad to see another HAF-X owner. Although I despise the case's aesthetic appearance, I too will be joining the HAF-X club real soon.

Thanks for sharing your epic journey in 2011 with us.
