Using an apu for bitcoin mining

Ok everybody as a lot of you know as soon as my tax refund comes I am building a system around the a10 7850k I was just wondering can u use an apu to mine bitcoin? I don't know alot about it

You can using anything to mine bitcoin assuming there's a client for it.

 

The question is, is it worth the cost of power to run it 24/7 and does it break even making you bitcoins.

 

That's what you should find out.

asic or whatever is better apparently

 

This has something to do with his question...in what way?

 

 

 

@op, I wouldn't recommend using an APU to mine coins, it wouldn't really be beneficial with such slow speeds.

basically: A higher ASIC value means less voltage is necessary for the same clocks at stock (or so I've noticed)

 

No no no - ASIC as in "application specific integrated circuit". Basically chips built entirely for mining at the best return per watt used.
