  1. And that's your spam right there.

    Windows XP SP3

I've got the RC on 3 XP installations. I will say though that I thought it was freely available on the m$ site?
  3. Pretty basic stuff, but a must-know nonetheless. This is THE most annoying feature of a Mac as well. Mouse acceleration, whoever thought of it should be shot. I'm still struggling to find something that means I can turn acceleration in OSX, but mergh, wandering off topic. Interesting to see they say around 4 is a good mouse sensitivity setting - I use a MX518 and @ 1600dpi I set sensitivity to ~5.6-6 in CS.
  4. I use and would recommend Fedora Core 8 for general use/light hosting. If you do choose Fedora though, you have to be aware that it has a very short version lifecycle, and they release a new 'version' every maybe year or so.
  5. Quad guns, woo yeh. Sorry can't offer any help
  6. The QX9770 is 3.2Ghz stock. I'm in exactly the same situation atm, going to upgrade my E6600 for either a Q6600 or a Q9450, not sure whether to wait, or just grab the Q6600 now for ~
  7. Won't be the GTS fan, however you haven't mentioned which CPU cooler you have, could quite possibly be that.
  8. Windows will only create <32GB FAT32 partitions, however >32GB is possible, and of course is used for most of todays MP3 players. There are numerous programs for Windows that can partition a drive with a >32GB FAT32 partition, not that I can remember their names lol. However you can partition the full 8GB easily enough in Windows, as previously mentioned, the 4GB limit is for single files only.
  9. You might as well get the latest software off the logitech site. Then as swifty says, just uninstall the old software if you have it, then install the new software and it should work straight away. Check out the G15 page on wikipedia for links to software to display game info. Also check out the G15 forums, and G15mods forums for more info and better applications than the standard Logitech ones.
  10. Got my new G15 Rev. 2 today, tis very nice as you'd expect, however I was expecting more sensitivity from the buttons - they require to be fully pressed to respond. It's going to take some getting used to coming from using the gaming layout of the Zboard, but its a nice board so I'm happy
  11. Out of interest, when overclocking why do people recommend turning this off?
  12. Meh it's a bit 50/50 I guess. I think there's a certain amount of e-penis boosting that goes along with owning good peripheral hardware, but then again as I'm used to good quality keyboards, I won't ever use a cheap one now for gaming. I enjoyed using my Zboard as the gaming keyset really did suit me, but it's starting to get a bit old now, and hell, I fancied a change I think the main difference for me though (an FPS player) is the mouse/mousemat combination, moreso the mouse itself. I love using my MX518 for gaming, despite it not being the best or most expensive mouse out there, it suits me very well, and can hold it's own plenty well enough in games. Also you need a good surface that offers good speed and control to play on, therefore a good mousemat for me is a must. Recently I haven't been using one as my P3 is still in the post and I forgot to take one to uni with me, and tbh I've lost a fair bit of aim control without one. Should be ok by tomorrow though when the new one arrives
  13. Mmm agreed, although from what I've heard, don't expect blistering performance from the new cards, at least not in comparison to what the 8 series was to the 7 series.
  14. Broken sensor? If you can hold it comfortably its going to be a lot cooler than 100 degrees. Hard to say why it's reporting that it's so hot though. As for it being that way up, that's the normal way up to mount HDDs so there shouldn't be a problem there.
