TheHostileGamer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 memory is on the QVL sheet but my proc isnt....I'm gonna go ahead and say its the cpu. Plus the system only crashes under cpu intensive programs.
d6bmg Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) ^ 2550K is nothing but a re-branded 2500K without iGpu. So, don't worry about the processor part. Edited March 22, 2012 by d6bmg
wevsspot Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I agree with d6 - I really don't see why or how it could be a processor incompatibility issue. That's just my 2 cents worth. And as much as it pains me to say this, it could possibly be the motherboard which is why I suggested that you inspect the cpu pin socket earlier. TheHostileGamer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Socket inspected. So why would EVERY other ASUS mobo have a BIOS update to support "New 22nm SB processors"?
d6bmg Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Your motherboard will also support 22nm processors. Its not been displayed yet because of the fact that very few people use WS revolution, so late marketing won't have any effect on the throughput in the market. TheHostileGamer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I don't think your understanding what I am saying. Board is being RMA'd so it don't matter.
