Carterjj Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Hi guys I'm new here but I recently bought a Asus sabertooth 990fx 2.0 and would like to over clock my 4130. The CPU fan is an OEM replacement so I'm not looking to go crazy just curious as to what a stable overclocking would be for my setup. Also running a evaga 600w 80+ bronze. Thanks for your help
slick2500 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 If you are using the stock cooler I am sorry to say this but you are extremely limiting any overclocking that you can do with that chip, the stock cooler is mediocre at best and hardly cools the cpu properly at stock clocks. Waco Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Agreed with Slick. You don't want to try overclocking at all (although that is a GREAT board) until you get a better cooler on that chip.
Carterjj Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Alright thanks guys I'm thinking of just grading to the 6300 and doing a nice CPU liquid cool on it. 6 cores would be way better than my 4 currently
