  1. Does the box for the PK-3 state that it has low dry out? I ask because on the company website it doesn't state that for PK-3, but does state it for PK-1 and PK-2. I wish the reviews of the PK-2 and PK-3 compared it to PK-1 also. I saw a video on youtube of both PK-2 and PK-3 being spread on the cpu... the PK-3 looked very thick and hard to apply.
  2. nevermind. I don't know why people write reviews then not respond to questions.
  3. Do you happen to know what the length of the warranty is on this card? I sent MSI an email, but they never did reply. EDIT: I found their warranty on their website. It looks like its 3 years, but only the first two years include parts and labor. The card I received today from Newegg, has a larger/longer heatsink on the chips that are on the end of the card, compared to the one in the review. Newegg is out of stock now. .
  4. I'm not sure how reliable this review is. For example in the 3dmark test, I have a 3870 card and I get the same score as they have posted... the thing is my cpu is an AMD dual core (running at 3.0ghz), and they are using a quad core cpu which should be scoring much higher. Lack of directx 10.1 and shader 4.1 support ruins the 9600gt. I don't understand what nvidia is thinking by not adding it. Its not like its going to kill them to add it. Maybe it doesn't matter to some people, but it does to me, and I'd bet I'm not the only one.
  5. How loud was this card while playing games or idle? I see Tom's Hardware has his review up also, but using a different processor.
  6. I also would question whether this card would come with the extra software (3dmark, Half Life etc), because I know in other online reviews done of Sapphire cards, they show the extra software, yet when you buy the product retail it comes with none of it.
  7. Its nice to see a review for once that wasn't done with an Intel cpu. I'm so tired of seeing every review done with them. In my opinion, this cards biggest advantage is its size, and that its a 3870. It only appears to take up one slot instead of two. I'm not sure about how loud it is though unless I missed it in the review, that could be a negative. Were the benchmarks for the other video cards in this review also done on the Phenom cpu?
  8. I was wondering if the cpu (e6600) was overclocked or what speed it was running at during the tests?
  9. I think thats pretty lame on Sapphires part. I'd be willing to bet none of their cards sold anywhere come with the extra software. I've read about how bad their support is anymore, and this probably is just proof of it. Also I registered on the Sapphire forums so I could post there, but that was a couple weeks ago, and they still have not activated my account there or even replied to my question why they haven't. I have the Sapphire 3870 but still haven't installed it because I'm still debating if I want it. I've seen posts from people claiming how the ATI drivers get faster after a few updates, but this last update apparently went down for benchmarks.
  10. Just wondering... did Sapphire send this card to you directly or was it purchased from a store? I ask because my Sapphire 3870 does not have any of those extra cd's (Black Box, 3dmark2006, DVD software). It was purchased from Newegg. Another person so far has said the same.
