$106.99 for HD 7770 $129.99 - 10% (CODE) - $10 MIR (uncertain)

G850 for $60.99

vs

A-5800 ( iGPU about HD6670) $129.99 (-$5 GIFT CARD) lol

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113280

HD 6670 ( note DDR5 does not improve pperformance, motherboard memory limits speed)

$71.97 before $15 MIR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102988

scaling in crossfire also depends on specific games, some perform well, others at HD 6670 LEVEL

Only comparison I see was I3 3220 $130

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116775

Ran most games (using HD6670 DDR3) slightly better than A-5800 with HD 6670 crossfire.

What it appears to me is the TRINITY benefits less from hybrid crossfire than Llano, while doing better as an APU combination.

If you are adding a more powerful GPU I do not see any great advantage,

Early days, better drivers could improve crossfire. DDR5 would benefit Intel performance.

Llano is 5600 series Trinity is 6600 series, neither crossfire with 7700 series, do NOT know about 7670, which is rebadged HD6670..

The problem is for roughly the same up-front cost (or very slightly more) you can get an Intel platform that performs better and uses less power...

:withstupid:

And most of the normal users live Intel.

If no upgrades are planned , especially if you want to use a small case with stock speeds, Trinity is a fine general purpose or HTPC PC. Gotta love the A85 Motherboard features (if not price). FM2 A55, FM2 A75 are less though.

I just llike more upgrade path, less power usage, and avoiding rationalizing faster RAM and better cooler.

Nice to have choices.

I get by just dandy on my Zacate based E-350 HTPC and it handles anything I throw at it and more efficiently than nearly anything else *worthwhile* on the market.

Try again :P

In that case getting a z77 ITX board and a unlocked SB/IB. Overclocking ftw! Everywhere!

well it has been years since i've messed around with amd so i was thinking maybe i could bring my gamer into modern times with these:

5800k

and this:

mobo

if it happens to be true that haswell really is the end of the line for intel this isn't such a bad idea after all...

It looks like i5 is still better.. but for a laptop I would choose AMD instead intel. I am really a fanatic of great technology that haves low consumption. My laptop is AMD but this wasn't that good.. it runs pretty hot xD. Power consumption is something that matters when it comes to a battery dependable device
