Guest_Jim_* Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Never have cared much for Chrome myself. It loads pages slower than Firefox for me, doesn't have some of the features I now rely on, and has the weirdest bugs. Oddly most of the bugs I've experienced are with Google sites. IVIYTH0S Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 This topic has me questioning switching to Chrome, this makes alot of sense and is a novel idea!!
Guest_Jim_* Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 This topic has me questioning switching to Chrome, this makes alot of sense and is a novel idea!! Not at this point. Firefox sandboxes as well, at least the plug-ins, but doesn't use the multiple processes to do so. I think Chrome was the first, but it is not unique anymore. EuroFight Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 The fact it runs a process for each window also means ripping off tabs is pretty much seamless, unlike the last time I used Firefox
My_Inner_Fred Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 The fact it runs a process for each window also means ripping off tabs is pretty much seamless, unlike the last time I used Firefox +1 yep its lovely! I just wish you could open all your previous tabs without reloading everything... but my fix for that is to pull out my wireless adaptor when I open chrome then reattach it when all the pages come up dead XD
F13Bubba Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I love chrome, but the flash bugs are too much for me anymore. I've gone to FF. I can't for the life of me figure out why chrome needs it's own version of flash.
Andrewr05 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I've had chrome lock up on me many times (which isn't to say that I haven't had FF do the same) despite its supposed protection.
Stonerboy779 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I don't think I have had a single issue or crash with chrome for months and months. Honestly cannot remember that last time a tab gave up on me either.
Locutus Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I have 9 instances of Chrome running on a freshly reinstalled (I mean FRESH) Win 7.
Cespenar Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 In ten years I have only had one problem with FF. Most of my problems have been self inflicted.
WhenKittensATK Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 FF has been playing catch up with Chrome for awhile. I remember back in the day when you had a video playing in a FF tab and dragged it to a new window it would reload the page (thus reloading the video) lol. So bad. If you use Google Accounts for a lot of things like I do, it just makes life easier (Gmail, Account login to comment on pages, Google Wallet, Google Drive, and etc. Google is an all-around service provider, although not the best in each field but good enough. Guest_Jim_* Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 That's all I use Chrome for; accessing my Google account stuff. Unless it misbehaves then I log in with Firefox, where things work.
