Looking good already wouldnt really change it. Maybe concider the extreme 4 vs the extreme 6 mobo and just weigh up the difference in features and i suggest this PSU instead. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=15350

Prefer Silverstone over Corsair myself and you'll save a few dollars and still have modular cables and a very quiet fan and small size.

Final thing are you sure you want to go with windows 8 and not 7?

Yeah I have been considering the Silverstone psu but decided on the corsair in the end. And when it comes to windows 7 or 8 I am not sure at all but I do like the UI and figure an compatability issues will be sorted out pretty quickly...

Hi Fusion,

There might be some creaking from the 600t if you use the window panel, the mesh panel doesn't do that shit though. Also, don't you need a storage drive? 256Gb is nothing.

I would go with this GPU instead

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1377&products_id=20456

It is a tad quieter than the gigabyte card without loosing any performance and the black heatsink with the black brushed aluminium back plate would look really nice in your case. Granted it is a tad more expensive, but it is only 6 bucks :dunno: .

Seasonic is the OEM for most of the corsair power supplies. If I am not mistaken, https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_972&products_id=19011 this is the same PSU that corsair uses for their tx750M . Someone can correct me on that, but even if it is not the exact same one, it is essentially the same product for 5 bucks less.

This part is totally up to you, but if you are looking for a dead silent build, https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1055&products_id=21166 this is the case you want. If you want to show off your build, you can even get the side window https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1055&products_id=21928 .

Lastly, I am going to agree with stonerboy and suggest that you go with the asrock extreme 4. The only major difference I see between the 4 and the 6 is the USB 3.0 expansion port which you really don't need so long as you get a case that has usb 3.0.

The ram you chose is fine. I don't know if you can get samsung memory in australia, but if at all possible, try and get some samsung low profile memory instead.

Hi all

I really like the look and functions of the 600t so il probably stick with it. I don't care about showing of the build so the mesh is fine and if cooling will allow and I still want to cut down on noise I will be covering the side panel with some sort of noise reducing material.

For storage I plan to get 3 hdd in raid 5 somewhere down the line but for the moment I just want to get the thing going and I have some externals if I need them.

GPU looks good and if it is quieter il go with it. Good point about the extreme 4 cheaper is good. Il look into the pcu but $5 isn't a big deal. And I haven't seen Samsung memory in Australia but I will have a look around.

Sounds like I'm on the right track and will putting the order in next week. Thanks for the advice
