  1. I did, though it takes a month to get Amazon 30$ credit.
  2. If you're installing on separate drive /partition(I bought an SSD) you have option to install fresh instance as a full install disk This is with win8pro, cheapest of them all If installing over previous win8 customer eval. Version, install will tell you that you cannot upgrade, CannoT keep programs As for activation in case of failure/changes, telephone registration is still a relatively quick option. Enjoy!
  3. Airflow makes a bigger difference, High Air Flow Oops wrong one, u were talking about IVI Anyhow, watercooler in a loop kits like corsair, zalman, thermaltake,.... Have gone down a price lately and promote better airflow than air coolers
  4. Those are limited to their branded drives only. You can find many freeware alternatives or invest few bucks into good software. Clonezilla is a common freeware and there are many more that do a lot more too, like different types of backup and maintenance.
  5. OCZ uses Indilinx or sandforce 1221. Isn't that the same tech that intel uses in their ssd? There is a lot of bad hype about their ssd's. none that can confirm and I own Agility 4 128gb that is at 65% full and still moves like new. Ymmv I guess
  6. It's unusual for laptop to not have COA sticker, key number. There are free programs on net that will extract the number from your working Vista. Google it.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, Agility 3 was 69.99 recently I own Agility 4 and it really moves, even on data 2 controller Also own Sammy 830 and Cruicial M4. They all work great. One thing you should know about ssd upgrade is that your OS Will need an upgrade to w7/8 to make it last, trim and garbage collection.
  8. 15 secs boot beats 1.5 -2minutes. IMO you have two options. One is to wait till Black Friday / cyber Monday, cause you've just missed a lot of sales on ssd's Or, if you're an advantures type, try to install mini-pic sataII controller and a wireless N USB card Given that lappy has the option to boot from other devices Ssd purchase should definitely wait for a few weeks, either way Last week I saw 180gb intel 330, for a price of 120 atm. Have fun with it. Btw, you can find used lappies with sata2 and good graphics for 200$ on fleebay as well. Happy hunting!
