  1. I think I am starting to get it now... If I went with the Barton 333mhz and the DDR400 I would be able to overclock the CPU by bumping up the FSB without the risk of blowing my memory. But I am probably going to go with the Barton 200Mhz(400Mhz) FSB because it is a lot faster... I just did not know how that all worked... Thanks
  2. Thanks, that answered my question. So If I went with the Barton 333 mhz I would just be better off buying the DDR333 and not wasting my money on the DDR400 since I will not see any improved system performance...
  3. Hello all I've been reading the Computer modder magazine and know the basics for over clocking but I'm kinda confused about one thing. I am purchasing a DFI Lanparty board (NFII Ultra) Nvidia Nforce2 chipset. It will run at a FSB speed of 233, 333, 400. The CPU AMD XP/3000 has the Barton core and a FSB of 400 MHZ effective. The memory that I want is DDR400. That is fine and good everything matches DDR 400/ 400 mhz FSB. But what if I wanted to go with the Barton 333 FSB mhz processor and the DDR400 would I loose the speed on the memory or would the memory still run at the same speed? Hope you can help....
