  1. I would go for the new 8800GT, they beat the GTS in ever test so far and on crysis, even beats the 640GTS upto 1900x Res, and the costs is so cheap you can then save for this to be SLI, as the 8800GTS kicks the BTX out of the frame. http://anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3140&p=12 Check out these scores on the SLI 8800GT
  2. Well if you after one there check ebay lol, someone is selling on, specs shown. Here
  3. Well i not sure how to take this but i am sure it must be correct thou. Basicly as we know crysis and nvidia have worked together closely for this game making sure that each card works well. If you look at the crysis nvidia file thats located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Game Check the last on the list, the GTX, Ultra, all get a score of 4 The GTS scores only 3 BUT the 8800GT is given a score of 4 the same as the GTX and ULTRA. Now this really must be kinda real if nvidia is working closely to make sure each GFX card is set to match what it can run. WOOOHOOO!!!!!! So you what you guys think ? More true now possibly. 0x10DE, 0x0191, 4 // NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 0x10DE, 0x0193, 3 // NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 0x10DE, 0x0194, 4 // NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra 0x10DE, 0x0400, 2 // NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 0x10DE, 0x0402, 2 // NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 0x10DE, 0x0421, 1 // NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 0x10DE, 0x0422, 1 // NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 0x10DE, 0x0423, 1 // NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS 0x10DE, 0x0611, 4 // NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
  4. As above, press F4 and go into advanced menu it will then show the hidden C1E disable this and it will show the correct speed all the time, once you are happy thou re enable this to save power when its not needed.
  5. Its under the cell menu on that bios, same as mine Top right in bios.
  6. I wouldn't go for the 8800 myself now, if you plan to head for dx10 then use the newer due G92 chip thats soon to be out, very good results heard from it, and alot cheaper than 8800's
  7. Also your temp on load is a little high really, you want to keep below 60 on load, 70 is way to high really for long time use, specially if you plan to use this for a 24/7 system, no more than 55-60c on load on tat. Orthos gives a lower stress test compared to intel TAT test software.
  8. Try booting from your OS disk and run a repair also.

    Crysis Spec Test..

Well looking around being into this game i found this cool link that tests your computer to see if it will be able to run crysis, there is no offical connection but its gives you a base line if it will work ok or not, its got two setting when test run, basic and recommended settings shown at bottom of results page Nice to know i pass both, but what got me i just pass the test using vista 64bit lol. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
  10. Well the newer e6750 is a better chip but it has a lower multiplier, its runs cooler. The E6700 are old stock so there prices are higher due to the price that the company paid for, and with the e6750 there has been a price reduction from intel so the cheaper are cheaper, the e6700 are more cos they need to make up the cost that each supplier paid for them. The e6700 OC well, i have mine just under 3.7g stable, and runs at 50c on full load. Personally i prefer the e6700 myself as it has a better multiplier as its runs well with my board, but most like the newer, cooler E6750 and its cheaper, i would also recommend the newer one for someone else
  11. Try knocking up the vcore to 1.5 and see if it will let you post there. Again just keep eye on temp when booted if it goes ok.
  12. Well first thing first what temp is the computer running at under load ?, also what voltage are you given the chip ?. Normally you would increase the vcore in bios and the northbridge also a notice or two, the vcore no more than say 1.5 for a 24/7 OC, then see if you can increase your OC more, you may find that your memory may need to be more relax on timing so make sure they are at 5-5-5-15 to allow you to see what your max OC on your cpu is then work back on your memory to get that back into shape.
