Bushmills and Jameson are my favourite Irish whiskey's, and Johnny Walker Black/Double Black is my go to scotch. Mixing a shot of them with some ginger beer and some lime is faaaaaantastic

Never heard of that TWKR edition before, quite interesting to see the ol K10 architecture really being pushed hard. Hopefully this Centurion will actually materialise...

http://hexus.net/tech/news/cpu/54057-rumour-amd-unleash-centurion-fx-5ghz/ What do we think?
-
Haha no worries. Yeah, I've been told that the 7970 will bottleneck the 955 but I don't think so. I could sell the 6850s for more than my CPU+mobo too, so that will go a healthy way towards the 7970. Is there any confirmation on the 8xxx series? I heard AMD were saying that the 7970 was gonna be their flagship for a while more...
-
The 955 isn't AMD's top chip...? And I'm getting pretty sick of the countless Crossfire issues, which is why I want to go with the 7970 (not the 7950). I'm not a blatant AMD fanboy, but I would prefer to stay AMD for the GPU so I don't have to mess around with drivers. At the moment I'm getting constant 0x124 bsods and I have no idea whats causing it, so I will eventually sell my whole rig for a new one but I can't afford it at the moment.
-
So I've decided its time for an upgrade, but since I'm on a fairly limited budget I'm not sure which to go for first - the CPU or the GPU. At the moment the options are: An FX8350 + either an Asus Sabertooth or a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, depending on how much I can get for selling my current stuff (Phenom 955 OC'd to 3.8 + GB GA-890GPA-UD3H) OR A 7970 to replace my Crossfire'd 6850's. What do you reckon lads? I am open to Intel, but I'd rather stay AMD, at least for the GPU. Intel is about 100-200 more expensive where I live (New Zealand). Cheers

Homefront would be interesting, are there any MP servers still up in Aus?

Can the photo be shopped a little?

[SOLVED] Memory matching
AceDeAce replied to TheyCallMeGunny's topic in Processors, Motherboards and Memory
I recently RMA'd a pair of 2GB sticks and was given the same amount back in g.Skill Ripjaws. They work totally fine in my system, no instability, but they run at different speeds... It hasn't caused any problems yet, but its still very odd. So, to answer your question, they should be fine.
