This seems meant for a Mini-ITX case. :)

It definitely heats up a bit in one. FurMark got it up to 97 C after 15 min. but no crashes. Left 4 Dead 2 and AoE3 hit low 80s.

Setup:

- IN WIN BP655.300TB3L Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case (w/ 200W PSU)

- Intel Core i5 3470S Ivy Bridge 2.9GHz LGA 1155 65W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637I53470S

- MSI DVD Burner Black SATA Model DH-24AS U88

Cards like this interest me greatly as I am a huge fan of the HTPC and silent PC. One nagging question that I cannot find the answer for in the review though, how are the sound levels?

If you leave the fan on auto in a reasonably vented case you're unlikely to ever even hear it. Maxed out it does have a bit of a whine to it since the fan is small.

In that Mini-ITX case, the fan doesn't go above 50% speed unless I'm gaming, which is no louder than a PS3 or Wii. You could keep it silent if you had a decent-sized 3rd-party heatsink to fit the holes. The HS only covers the GPU core, unlike the higher end cards where it can contact RAM and VRMs.

When gaming in that case, it goes 80-100% speed, which would be annoying for a HTPC. I built it more as a "portable" gaming PC.
