I'd just bring an e-Reader (if you have one) and your phone, 18 hours isn't all that long especially since you'll napping for part of it anyways.

I actually wont I cant sleep on busses so I'll be up for the entire 18 hours.

^This is what I do. I cannot fall asleep on buses or planes either, but I still just close my eyes and listen to music (when not playing video games).
