  1. hi everyone! im in a market for a mid range mobo that is SLI compatible for future purpose and a processor. i only know very little so i need you to help me choose that is affordable in their range. im located in the Philippines and i will only buy in these stores http://www.tipidpc.com/useritems.php?username=dynaquestpc and http://www.tipidpc.com/useritems.php?username=PCHub i currently have a gtx570, 2 gskill 4gb rams, corsair 950w psu from my old pc and will like them to fit. for the processor i can only afford the i5 ranges i was looking at the 2500k but couldnt find them in their list perhaps they have been replaced? setup is for gaming.
  2. thanks guys i really appreciate it. i had everything turned on and to max (high or ultra) but so far the game runs smooth even at stages were theres a lot of firing and bombing... i have not experience any crash/ lag & latency in firing the weapon but loading from stages is a bit slow. edit: whats the difference between 8 x qcsaa & 16x csaa? i have 8xqcsaa selected on dirt3.
  3. buying without knowing.. edit: actually im gonna be upgrading my pc. this is for the meantime while im out of budget
  4. specs: amd a6-3500 asus f1a75 8gb ram gtx570 is 40-50fps on battlefield 3 normal in campaign mode? gpu is stock (not overclocked) & temp is at 70°C my monitor can only support up to 1366x768 resolution graphic settings are full: vsync: on field of view: 90 stereo 3d: on graphics sett to mesh quality: ultra terrain quality & terrain deco: (max) ultra or high? antialiasing def: 4x antialiasing post: high motion blur: on anisotrophic filter: 16x nvidia's site says i should be avaraging at 54fps but at 1920x1200 resolution. im at 40-50fps resolution at 1366x768 so i should have a higher fps than 54 or what? is the processor and mobo causing this? everything is smooth though.. im just curious.
  5. i did same thing for my girlfrind. nothing fancy she only wants the same thing of TS's gf but can also play zuma intel atom (dont know what mobo it is but it goes with the package) 2gb ddr ram 250gb sata psu (generic) dvd/dvdr 15" lcd avr mouse & keyboard for only $230 (converted from peso) it was a shop promo. but it ended me using the pc more often for downloads. but she doesnt care as long as she can check her facebook and play zuma pc is still healthy for about a year now did not experience any freezing/crashes considering im opening loads of sites, ym, msn msgr, movies, photoshop even for me clients.. @TS specs those are already cheap
  6. i gave a call to the shop where i bought my corsair in manila and they are willing to replace it but i gave them word that it will be nxt week that i will have to decide to replace the psu if the replacement mobo will also not power up on corsair. but both shipping will be shouldered by me. the shop where i bought the mobo is also willing to replace it with a f1a75m-le no charge but it will be this monday since its also gonna be shipped from manila. and i figured ill have the mobo first replaced. but anyways, im starting to really not care of this issue for now im having regrets of not reviewing first what items to buy. im stuck with amd for now... should have went intel for sli support grrr... last upgrade was 7 years ago and it was after i have payed for the amd a6 & mobo that i started reviewing the market. wasted some money. could have bought a better mobo with it or an i5 2500k
  7. do you guys know of a board compatible with an amd a6-3500 processor that i can SLI with? while the board is available to be replaced with other boards ill just have it replaced with sli compatible..
  8. well i brought it back to the shop and they tested it with different boards and psu's. out of luck and i decided to have the board. this is really strange...
  9. i plugged the 24 pin and 4 pin nice and tightly. so ill repeat what happened: corsair to asus f1 24-pin & 4-pin atx plugged, 2x4gb gskill ripjaws ddr3 f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl = no boot asus f1 with generic 500w psu, 24-pin & 4-pin atx plugged, 2x4gb gskill ripjaws ddr3 f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl = boot corsair to intel atom f1 24-pin (no 4pin atx on board), 2gb kingston = boot corsair to acer aspire m1610 24-pin & 4-pin atx plugged, 2x2gb kingsotn ddr2 = boot (figured the rams matter) i did those again this morning and nothing happened.. tried this Jump Starting a PSU and corsair's customer support "Ram Guy's" reply "If the PSU works on two separate systems then there is nothing wrong with the PSU."
  10. yap had them put together.. i hope this is not the case.. will keep trying to figure out whats wrong with it.
  11. so i tried the corsair plugging it into my intel atom & aspire m1610 desktops. both booted. so this means that the psu does not have any issues. what could possibly be wrong?
  12. i do hope i did not... does the green LED in the mobo lighting on means all wires in the 24pin atx are working???
  13. edit: did this one http://forum.overclock3d.net/index.php?/topic/394-guide-jump-starting-a-psu/ and psu turns on...
  14. i recently bought a corsair tx950w and i decided to have it installed to a tech. motherboard is an asus f1a55-m lx plus. we test it to boot with the corsair WITHOUT a vcard (still waiting for my vcard to arrive) but the mobo didnt boot. unplug and plug the wires, remove the memories just in case this is what's causing but still it did not boot. the tech grabbed a generic 500w psu and plug the cables and the mobo BOOT! so i got damn worried! the tech's analysis is its because of the corsair's 950w power that the mobo can't boot alone (without the gtx570). they dont also have any vcard they can test with a minimum power requirement of 500w. what's worst is iv read some threads that tx950 has incompatibilities with some asus boards! but wat do you guys think? need help! another question is do i need to buy a higher watt avr for the psu? i have a ups but its only 500va. here in philippines we usually have power flux and brownouts.
  15. so the psu arrived and i decided to have it installed to a tech. motherboard is an asus f1a55-m lx plus. we test it to boot with the corsair WITHOUT ANY vcard (coz the gtx570 have not yet arrived) but the mobo didnt boot. unplug and plug the wires just in case loose plugging of the cables is causing this but still it did not boot. the tech grabbed a generic 500w psu and plug the cables and the mobo BOOT! so i got damn worried! the tech's analysis is its because of the corsair's 950w power that the mobo can't handle the load (without the gtx570). they dont also have any vcard they can test on the mobo with a minimum power requirement of 500w. but wat do you guys think? need help! another question is do i need to buy a higher watt avr for the psu? i have a ups buts its only 500va
