  1. On a mouse, does the DPI do anything except increase the movement speed of the cursor, or does it also increase response time? In certain articles i get the impression it could inscrease response time. Because i dont have my mouse set at the highest DPI possible, thus i wonder if i increased if there would be any performance boost. Also will there be any "real" difference between a 3G mouse and a 3.5G mouse, or is that a bunch of marketing shenanigans?
  2. Ok, thank you for your help. I think i'll be getting a Lian Li now, a friend of mine in real life said that they are good too.
  3. Alright, so would the lian li in theory, be better than say, a CM HAF X?
  4. So i would in turn be better off having a case with more airflow, than one that has thermal zones?
  5. I was wondering what the opinion of some more experienced people was about these cases with Thermal Zones. Is it good for overclocking? More specifically the Lian PC-X2000F. I read an article about it http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cases/display/coolermaster-corsair-lianli.html and it seemed to do pretty good, what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.
  6. lets be honest, who needs the 8x AA, i cant see any difference between the AA being 2x, 4x and 8x, unless i look REALLY close, i *could* run my games with all tht but tbh it isnt worth it imo
  7. positive "reviews" does not necassarily mean its good, because people can be paid to write a positive review, but i guess it is your choice
  8. I've heard friend's say that OCZ are good PSU's, and also, you can get some descent card for under 60-70 USD (by descent i mean better than the 6800) such as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130390 if hes not doing much gaming, then you could get something even cheaper, depends on his needs, or maybe a ATI HD 5450, those would be better than the 6800 and you can get them even cheaper, again, depends on what the budget and purpose of the computer is, if you could provide us with that information we could be of more help to you.
  9. according to the link you have, no, the processor is socket AM3, the motherboard is socket 775, BIG difference, 775 is intel, so a core 2 duo or core 2 quad would work with it, but AM3 is AMD, but the others seem to work, if you get an AM3 mobo, more than likely you'll need DDR3 ram though

    CryENGINE 3

yeah, thts what i mean, since ppl bashed them for it, apparently it isnt a good marketing approach, personally i'd like to see something like this in MMOs, have standard settings for an MMO, then have crysis graphics for those who have a top end system, i play MMO's but have some what of a gaming rig, so i basically eat the MMO's alive, but i still strain my GPU on crysis, but not anything else i've encountered, i've got a gtx 260 1.8gb

    CryENGINE 3

also think of it this way, we are just recently (like past year) having cards that can play crysis at full specs, thus they would loose money using tht engine, because you would have to have a 2k+ system to play it, and many if not most gamers dont have that, most people i know either still have a pentium or some AMD dual core tht isnt even 3ghz, yet still play PC games, so they wouldnt be able to play it, which is why they would loose money.
  12. Ok, i'll probably use a cheaper board then, thanks. Is OCing as simple as changing the multiplier and other number, like 20x166 for 3.32 ghz? Is there anything else to it?
  13. this is a noobish question, but would it be safe for a noob OCer (as in NO OC exp what so ever) to go 4ghz+? if so, then would it be better to keep the asus rampage?
  14. how does this sound Case: Antec 1200 149.99 Mobo: Asus Rampage III 359.99 PSU: Corsair 750 modular 147.29 CPU: i7 930 (already have) RAM: Patriot Viper 6GB DDR3 1333 CAS Latency 7-7-7-20 179.99 HD: 2 WD Caviar Black 640GB 7200 RPM SATA III in raid 0 79.99x2 GPU: Sapphire 5870 Vapor-x 479.99 Heatsink: Prolimatech Megahalems 62.00 with 2 Scythe ULTRA KAZE fans 133.60 CFM to cool it 9.99x2 to a total of 1560.20 This is just an estimate total, because i couldnt find a CM HAF X anywhere at the time i posted. Any thoughts? I dont want to use all 2100 on the computer, but i can, and these seem to be quality parts.
