What do you think of this CPU?

I was just wondering what you guys think of the AMD A6-6400K with Radeon HD 8470D.

For a few extra bucks you could get a quad core from AMD

Avoide APUs if you want good CPU performance, I know they are a good money saver but you'll be dealing with lock ups. They do performe fine for gaming. I have a a6-5400K I'm upgrading to a 8350 cpu soon.

KennethK, I believe you removed any C-States in the BIOS? This solved my problem when I bought my A8-3850 and was blue-screening at every 10-15 minutes of video watching (nevermind Youtube, DVD/Blu-ray or other website).

I just removed any C-States and the crashing went away, could lower voltage and up clocks (a bit) without any issue. I must say I have a Zalman 7500-CU.

I am actually moving from Intel 4000 graphics, so anything is better.  I have been using Mac almost exclusively for the last few years.  i used to be highly active here, and on staff.  I have recently gotten a PC again.  I'm getting the gaming bug, but haven't started.  This is the APU that I got, and I like it.  I just thought I'd see how everyone else felt about it.  That and 8GB of DDR3 1600 RAM beats anything I've had for a long time.

They are fine for mainstream gaming but not much else. As far as compute strength they lack the pure power that you see with the latest chips. Reminds me of an Atom with ION graphics.

I'm currently running on a mobile APU and it works decently well for mid-range gaming. I can play games like League of Legends at medium to high settings at 30FPS without much trouble.
