that chunky bit is the inverter..... it sits right beside the cathode..... lol

I havent extended the cathode cable, the inverter is inside the printer i just "made" an extension with male and female molex plugs then ran it through an empty expansion slot, insta powa to the modded printer lol (extension made possible by my latest craze of burning out power supplies..... Disecting PSU's is fun, the fan, molex connectors, etc..... B) all come in handy eventually lol)

I would just get a second hand case..... if the covers were the right size, these arent 5.25, their 6 with a gap between the drive cage and the case section. So accetate sheet had to take their place for now

After a drive stealth gone wrong I find myself without spare drivebay covers..... Local stores dont sell em, Can find em on the net either..... Soooooooooooo..... I improvised...... Accetate sheeting with my favourite design printed onto it, looks cool, (also realised a 4C temp drop because of this) and is cheap as hell. Gonna get myself another neon for behind it too, be lookin like a chistmas tree by easter :-D

Drilled a hole and used a hack saw blade for the larger bits then tidied it up with a fine file.

Ok, this is the most drastic thing ive done EVER..... Cut a few holes in my last spare side panel..... But looks great, matches the etching on my frosted window (See other topic) Suggestions for improvements welcome, just dont be too harsh.....

Not a bad idea..... its about 3cm underneath my frosted window, an excuse to do another one and hone my frosting technique.... lol

I have to reluctantly admit I have a fan fetish..... I dont try to make them quieter because I love the gentle humming all 7 of mine make while i sleep..... But, after filling up all my standard fan space in my case I had a brain wave..... I have small holes on the side of the case :-D So i got the drill out and proceeded to enlarge the holes..... and voila 3 fans blowing onto the chipset, cpu, onboard gpu and practically ALL of the motherboard..... And I found space on the top panel for two 120mm fans too, just dunno how-to power them..... AHHH SLAP A SECOND PSU IN THE CASE!!!!! ps: the temp drop from this was 27c, gotta love side panels with holes in them :-D

Thanks, doesnt defeat the point of a window at night though..... I have 2 Blue Neons that light it up, which means you can see in still, its only during the day it is hard to see through, which i like the idea of
