AMD launches the FX 8300, sale price is a bit odd given specs

http://news.softpedia.com/news/AMD-Now-Selling-FX-8300-8-Core-CPU-317089.shtml

You know, initial AMD offerings tend to be in the higher side a bit.

I just assume it's because it's the only '8 core' FX processor with 95W, if they retailers aren't selling it for that reason then I'm stumped :/

Not too sure about the 8xxxm models, but I am really anxious to see the benchies of the 8xxx desktop GPUs. Everything Ive read about them thus far all point to the same thing. the 8850 and 8870 models are comparable to nvidias gtx 670 line at almost half the cost. o,0

Would really love to see the numbers for the 8950/8970's if thats the case! of course nvidia will also be releasing GPUS around that time but the 7xx gpus from nvidia are just Kepler refreshes as opposed to Sea Islands which is a new Architecture if im not mistaken.

Well apparently there's a dual gpu desktop card too! Sea Islands is an improved GCN series :) Next seriers might be a new architecture
