  1. AS 5 is not going to be easily beat by about any thermal compound. Its definatly a big improvement over ceramique, but a little more costly. For extremists, its well worth it though!
  2. well, i would wait till beginning of next year to be honest. There are lots of release plans comming up and to buy a card right now isnt the best choice since pricing should drop when release comes. Right now, ATI is on top of Nvidia, so if you are going to get a card RIGHT now, get like a 9800 Non-pro. If you are willing to wait, the Nvidia 5950 is about equal to the 9800XT, so nvidia isnt slipping too far behind. Like i said, wait and see what happens
  3. is this a case prob or a motherboard probe???
  4. If you plan on increasing the voltage to some greater numbers )Like 3.2V or something simular to) its very nice to have. Ram chips can take a lot of heat, though. ITs like putting a heatsink on your southbridge, you might not have to, but its nice ot have
  5. did you use distilled water or tap water for your setup??? And no, i doubt tap water will do any good at flushing most things out. I would use any chemical that can clean gunks except for metals. dont want it eating metal
  6. Everybody i have talked to who has owned both says that the Epox was a better overclocker. I now own one myself and love it! Epox 8RDA3+ is at a good price @ mwave.com.
  7. ALWAYS put the rad before the blocks. ALWAYS. the only thing you can really put in between the two and not create heat is the resevoir. Personaly, i put all my stuff outside of the case... only the blocks in my case, that way i dont add any more heat inside the case from the rad, dont fill up my case with stuff (killing airflow), and finaly, less likely ill damage something from a leak
  8. One of the best rated waterblocks is the Slit Edge waterblock (not sure where to get it, just google it). Its about 45 bux a block. Also, i own the DD (Dangerden.com) Maze4 and with a room of 21*C and my 2500+ at 1.85V, i have 32* right now (not idle nore full load) and i get about 36* full load. D-tek (dtekcustoms.com) has the TC-4 which is also a great performer. If you want the best, go to d-tek and get the white water block. Runs about 65 bux but is rated #1 on heatsinks! Also, make sure to run in parallel VS series so both processors are equily cooled instead of one getting like 1-3* hotter because of the second processor is getting the heated water. Also, it will help flow rate. My suggestion is the slit edge if your under 50 a water block and if you can spend 65 a block, get the White water.
  9. Says on the processor itself. Will say on a little black label, just write everything down off of there and keep it somewhere to remember.
  10. AXDA2500KV4D Y866217250570 AQXEA 0331XPMW 218 FSB X 11.5 @ 1.975V (2507 total Mhz), but still in stabaility testing. So what can you get on your 2500+ with your stepping?
  11. Voltage mod! Put a resistor somehwere, cant remember where though
  12. http://www.dtekcustoms.com Check out their white water block... Definatly a winner!
  13. Overclocked like crazy, i only have 2 LOW rpm exaust fans, a PCI exaust, and my power supply. Only a single intake over my video card memory. Enermax makes some thermaly controlled fans that are extreamly silent and push an alright amount of air. Keeps my stuff cool enough for me
  14. A7N8X Delux Rev2.00 VS Epox 8RDA3+ Rev2.00 In overclocking terms, the Epox is was better Also, cant RMA the asus, no receipt (cant find it). That and ive epoxied a HS on the SB. Bet that voided anything i had.
