  1. had same problem at work. Everything would turn on except the the monitor wouldn't display anything. Replaced with a new mobo. Worked like a charm. I think the problem was with the chipset on the mobo. Bad chipset. I would suggest RMA'ing it back, but if you can somehow get it to work then cool. If not I wouldn't waste my time.
  2. I go to Bentley College and major in CIS. This major focuses on Software Development. IMO, I think there is too much Application Development. I'm more into networking than programming, but it's still nice to learn I guess.
  3. Yep, network operating system..very expensive piece of software
  4. You forgot about the video card. That will consume a good amount of juice let alone your other components! $114 for a 480w psu???? Enermax has a 500w+ for that much money I think. Good choice choosing zipzoomfly.com. Love the free 2nd day shipping. My suggested psu brands: Enermax, PC Power & Cooling, CoolerMaster. These are pretty good power supplies. IMPORTANT: **Never go cheap (i.e. no-name brands) on power supplies. Power supplies are not created equal and some can hurt your components if the psu does not consistently provide proper juice for your components. If you are spending alot of money on pc components, it makes sense to get a nice, stable psu. Trust me, a brand name psu will last you quite some time.**
  5. That only creates a google account. You still can't access gmail with a google account because it's in a testing stage still. You have to be invited to get gmail. Now with that said, would someone be so kind as to give me a gmail invite? I'll pm whoever, just let me know. Thanks.
  6. What's great about wireless is that I can surf the net while in the bathroom.
  7. It's wireless vs. wired. Ethernet is the standard means of connecting computers to create a network. Hence, wireless and wired are based on Ethernet.
  8. That is one unbelievably sexy computer!!!!! Man, that Compaq will beat the crap out of my custom 3.0Ghz pc..... ........at least it wishes it could.
  9. You should be ashamed of yourself, cheating on her with your sexy gaming machine! J/K!!! In all seriousness, you will probably regret it if you dumped her. Why don't you tell her about your situation, she will understand.. that is if she likes you and not your money. Don't just dump her for no reason. Explain yourself first. Love shouldn't be all about money anyways, and if she dumps you because you are broke, then you know she is playing you and not worthy of your time.
  10. LOL ....a bugatti. What a gas guzzler. Gas isn't cheap, and the car isn't either. I like to think of gas paired with this car as a "hidden fee" lol. I like my '92 Nissan Maxima with my infamous duct tape mods. I'm working on surpassing the 200,000 mile mark. Of course, I happen to be a college student who isn't blessed with rich parents, but I'm working to change that for the better. Where is Lexus??? I'm getting one when I finally work in the business world.
  11. ........reminds me of clips from Dawson's Creek, Smallville, etc. very happy moments, too bad it didn't happen to me.
  12. errmm....dvd burners usually burn several diff. types of dvd's, not just one. They can burn dvd+r, dvd-r, dvd+rw, etc., at diff. speeds of course. There aren't any dvd burners on the market that burns just dvd+r media. I hate to say this too, but you look like the idiot now. Don't call people idiots if you don't even know what you are talking about next time. I'm just saving you from making a complete idiot out of yourself.............. ..............Right now, you're a (50% complete) idiot.
  13. I've had 3 AMD processors and they all cause problems for me. From a Thunderbird to an Athlon XP, to an Athlon 64, they have given me problems, so I switched to P4 and it has been a very pleasant experience thus far.
