Erosannin Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I got 2 Corsair Force GT 60Gb in RAID 0 but each drive that was at 58Gb after format is now at 55.6Gb. Can someone explain me why it went down suddenly today.
ir_cow Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 do you have temp folders set to it or is your hibernation options on? generally when I see a drop is size and nothing in on the drive I find it's a place holder for a temp folder or a hidden partition. what did you recently install? SpikeSoprano Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Here is a pretty good guide if you want to check it out. http://thessdreview.com/ssd-guides/optimization-guides/the-ssd-optimization-guide-2/#disqus_thread
Erosannin Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Hibernation is off, page file is off, system restore is off and I just completely wiped both to re-do my RAID 0 and re-install windows 7. When I check the material it says that they both have 55,6Gb capacity even though they should be at 58Gb or just a little under. It happened suddenly while I was using the computer. Tonight I will try to move the temp folders to my 500Gb HDD following the guide in the link you sent Spike.

Erosannin Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Page file? What is your question exactly? (What IS page file? or Why page file is off?)
wevsspot Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Eros - you surely know what the Windows page file is silly.................... If you haven't disabled the page file (not recommended) or moved it to another drive, then it is on the same drive (or array) that the OS is installed on. You can't see it because it is a hidden file.
