I forgot to mention you really should get low profile memory because otherwise it's a pain in the but to find a heat sink that fits . if you getting a water cooler like the h80 I wouldn't worry than .

anything besides the base clock? its 6GBs of VRAM so it should suffice for 1440p right?

I do not like to send TOM'S links all over the place, but THIS CASE seems nice also. It is not available

but they are saying that it is a low-priced mATX - iTX capable box. It can mounts radiators up to 240mm
at the top and it should be available all around in some days. I like how the motherboard is mounted

differently

The 7990 still has 3GB/GPU, like a 7970.

Woah, really? But, i thought because its on a single pcb, its 6....

There are two GPUs on the single PCB each with 3GB(3+3=6), better to think of dual gpu video cards as two separate cards only using one PCIE mobo lane thingy

Ah ok i understand! Damn, branding. I'll go speak with my friend on that. two 7970's are better but its his choice not mine, i just build it :x.

The biggest issue you are likely to face is limitations of the case. A prodigy and most mITX cases only accept a dual slot video card. The Asus 7990 you listed will not work as it is triple slot. Also many 7970 high clocked cards are 2.5" slot or even 2.25 slot. These result in the fan housing touching the side of the case and thus increasing the noise when the fans ramp up. The 7990 from Sapphire is only a fraction bigger than the 7950 Dual X which fits the Prodigy and the Node just fine. However it would be close.

Remember I am talking about card DEPTH not length. Reviews all focus on the length and never take into account the depth of the card.
